Lightning Lane no longer offered today 10/11

Sounds like it might be this.

Ah yes I got that offer. But I had already bought the Costco deal. Costco was a better deal but both were a very good deal imo.

Sounds like LL is like park reservations - best to not wait any more than you have to so you can make sure you get them. Would really hate to show up and find out they were sold out!

Do you know more details on that offer? Maybe some kind of locals deal like the California passes I've heard about recently?
Her friend lives in Washington state, so definitely not a local offer.

lol, no. I googled it and it looks like a number of states are in school that day; it varies widely. I don’t recall if I got this day off, but my kids and all the other kids in our state are in school!

A lot of schools in Washington and Oregon have it off as a fall break.
Then I probably had it off as a kid. No longer there! We get some other random days off where I am now.

The week I miss having off the most was the one we called “ski break week” in February or so. I think it is officially midwinter break. Such a nice time to have a week off.

I entered Disneyland for early entry and I could not buy LLMP today (10/11). Does this occur frequently?
We go every year on this holiday weekend since my DDs have off of school. And LL has sold out several times on this weekend when we have been there in the last few years. We always buy LL with our tickets, so we don’t have to worry about buying it day by day, both for the possibility of a sell-out, but also to avoid the dynamic pricing on really popular days.

I was trying to check the app to see if LLMP was available Sunday but the app confuses me now since it always seems to favor highlighting the Premier Pass. Can anyone report back?

Getting a bit nervous since I'm an MK but my DH isn't, and we got him a ticket with LL included. We're going Sunday (partial day) - Wednesday after the holidays officially start, so hopefully things will work out since it's a busy time. I'm just worried about not being able to add on LL for me, and his going to waste.

Also, I really feel for those who previously used DAS and have now turned to LL as a substitute. What happens to folks like that when they were banking on having that LL system to have any semblance of a good time? I know they have the line return system now, but it seemed like they were really pushing those folks to just get LL...and then only to flood LL availability with discounted tickets. There have been some really frustrating decisions from Disney lately.

Yikes! Yes, I'm realizing that since I only saw Premier in the app yesterday (about 12pm), that means it was sold out, since both show in the app today (as of 8:20am). I couldn't remember what it looked like normally.
Can you add on LLMP for yourself ahead of your visit?

What's the process for adding LL to regular tickets that have already been purchased (not MKs)? Do you have to scan in to the park first, or can you buy them at the ticket booths (or whatever those little guest services booths are in the esplanade) before that--like the day before?

I'm not 100% sure what you are asking. If you buy it in advance, it will be active as soon as you pass through the entrance turnstiles. If you don't purchase it in advance, there is a chance that it will not be available for purchase after you enter the park.

As far as being able to use it, do you mean that there will be so many people with LL that you won't be able to book attractions? That depends on how knowledgeable and skilled you are with booking and modifying LLMP. Personally, I think LLMP at DLR is more valuable than it is at WDW - We paid for it at WDW but it only helped us with a couple of attractions at each park.
Thank you for your reply. I think what I though OP meant was they got into the park with LL but couldn't book any rides with it. I didn't realize they meant they couldn't book it at all. I was at WDW in 2017 where I used fast pass and I believe I booked ride times ahead of the actual trip. Booking on the day will be a whole new experience :)
