Upgrading UT ticket to AP - help with the math

I hate to beat a dead horse, but just want to make sure I know the correct amount it should cost me to upgrade my ticket. Here are the details:

Purchased 6 day PH from UT at a cost of $305 (including tax)

Gate price for 6 day PH $314 (not including tax)

Cost of an AP $519 with no tax or $553 with tax

So, how much should I expect to pay when I upgrade and how much am I actually saving by doing this? I'm sure it will be worth the effort as I have 3 tickets to upgrade, but only included the price for one ticket here to make it simple.

Difference $205
Tax on $205 $13.33
Pay per AP $218.33 plus original cost from UT at $305 = $523.33; savings = $30 per ticket.

We did the upgrade last fall $200 and tax more, I would do it before the price increase. It use to be in Aug. the first Sunday, but I read that it was June last year 2011.
