Upgrading to AP's with PH & WP&M tickets

I know this has been asked before, but I'm still not clear on what to do (please no pitchforks!).

We purchased a room and ticket package for June through Disney before the ticket prices went up. We chose to add hoppers and the WP&M option so we could hit the water parks a couple times. I understand they will bridge the cost of what we paid (before ticket prices were raised) to the current cost of tickets, but I'm still confused about the water park option. We aren't sure if we want to upgrade the AP's which include water parks (I still need to do the math).

So. Will they take the cost of what we paid for tickets even if we don't choose the platinum plus AP? Also, does this mean we can't go to a water park before we upgrade to AP's or we'll be forced to get the Platinum Plus?

Thank you so much for any help! I know this gets asked a lot so thanks for your patience. :goodvibes

1. They will bridge to the current price of the same kind of ticket.
2. Yes.

Thank you Robo!

One more quick question... Do we need to upgrade before we enter a park? Or will they bridge the price regardless?

I appreciate the help.

Do we need to upgrade before we enter a park?

No.

Some would say that you will have a better chance of a price-bridge AFTER you've used the tickets at least once.

Just KNOW ahead of time exactly what the upgrade price SHOULD be, and don't accept a deal that is for the wrong amount.

Although entering a water park may force you to get the platinum pass.
