Upgrading to AP

Okay, here's the scenario. I have an expiring 5 day ph for my dd for our May trip. Bought from UT. It's currently linked to MDE. BUT.....she may be traveling to WDW in Dec. I get DVC APs, so would want to upgrade to an AP for her if she makes that trip. I'll know before we go in May.
So, what's the best way to do this, once I get to WDW, in May?

The best way to do the upgrade is for your daughter to use the ticket to enter the park. After that, go to any guest services and do the upgrade. That way her ticket will be "bridged" to current gate price allowing you to have the best price towards the difference between the ticket and an AP.
