Upgrading to annual passes

Ok so I have a magic my way package for our vacation in April. There's a chance that we get to go back to Orlando in October, bc my husband has a work conference there. So I am wondering if I upgrade our tickets that we have for this trip to annual passes will I lose the magic my way package? I really don't want to give up our dining plan. Maybe it's better to just purchase the tickets for October instead of annual passes.

You can keep everything the same and upgrade your tickets once you are at the park. You won't lose anything. Your APs will start on the first day you use the tickets.
