Currently, we've got the FL resident Stay, Play, and Dine package with three-day, one park per day tickets. I'm considering going ahead and purchasing the 7-day tickets with no expiration and saving the other 4 days for later.

Two questions, my 8 year old could quite possibly be 10 by the time we get back. From what I've read, this isn't an issue, right?

Also, I do not want to add the park hopper option on now because we don't need that feature on these three days that we are using on this trip. But, if we wanted to upgrade those last four tickets in two years to park hopper tickets, could we?

If your daughter is 10 on your next trip she can use her child ticket as is. If she looks much over 9 she can exchange the ticket for an adult ticket at no cost, the same days and plusses remaining will still be there.

Thanks! That's what I was counting on.

Do you know if it's possible to upgrade those leftover 4 days though to parkhoppers at that time?

I am told that yes you may add hopping later. Hopping costs the same ($37.) regardless of the number of days originally on the ticket or the number of days remaining.

Once you purchase your tickets and use the 1st day, you have 14 days to add on any more days, options, such at the Magic Plus Packager or the non expiration feature. So, if you think you will want the PH feature on your next trip, you will need to add it before you leave. Also, all tickets, unless you add the non expiring feature, will expire 14 days after the 1st use and may not be upgraded to non expiring after that point.

Ive been curious if anyone knows how much it is to upgrade a FL seasonal to AP pass?

any help would be appreciated! :3dglasses

Actually the FL 3 day pass doesn't expire for 6 months :) - but if I decide to do the 7 day pass, I would purchase the non-expiration option immediately. The PH feature is what I was wondering about - but if it is $37 regardless of how many days the ticket is for, I may as well purchase it now, instead of waiting for the next trip.

Thanks!

We'll be at WDW next week (yes on the 4th, yes we're crazy!)...

We have 2 days left on our parkhopper passes from two years ago - but now my oldest is considerered an adult... I understand we can can exchange his child pass for an adult pass, but does anyone know where we exchange it?

Thanks!

Any Guest Relations location outside the theme parks or either of the two DTD GR's can do this for you. There is no charge. Be sure that the child-now-over-10 is with you when you do this.

BTW, if your child is now only 11, just go ahead and use up the old ticket the way it is. You will have no problem doing so.

Thank you for the info and the suggestion! The only reason we might go ahead and offically upgrade the ticket is we are really big into making sure our kids "do the right thing" no matter what. If we go ahead and let him use a child ticket when he's considered an adult at Disney, even though Disney won't care, I'm not sure if we're sending him the right message.... in all reality its probably not an issue since Disney doesn't charge for the upgrade, and we can always explain it to my son that way, but I don't want to make my son feel like we're challenging his ethics - or that we're giving him permission to "break the rules" when its easier.

I don't mean to sound preachy - and if we weren't having little challenges with my son on "doing the right thing" - I think we'd probably just use the ticket as it stands... I think I'll leave this one up to my hubbie!

God Bless - Wendy
