Upgrading Tickets Twice

I have a problem. My friends and I are heading to DL in Nov. We bought 4 day tickets and then decided that we would have enough time when we landed in CA that we could go to DL on the first day as well as the last day that we will be there. We need to add one more day on. Not a problem, we will take care of that when we get there.

So now, I have decided that I need to upgrade to an AP. I would like to upgrade to the 5 day first so that I can still get the EE day on Monday (our last day) and then upgrade again on that Monday to get the AP.

Is this doable or I will just be making a mess of things? I thought I should ask the experts first, before I set my master plan into action.

TIA

I'm sure somebody has a better answer, but I don't see why you need to upgrade to the 5 day first. You can upgrade to a season pass on your last day of you hopper (so day 4). Then use your season pass for day 5 of that trip. So you would use your 4 day hopper for you first 3 days (and use EE during that time), upgrade to the season pass on day 4 and use it on day 5 also. Does that make sense?

Thanks for the reply. We will be there Nov 1-5 and on Thurs, will be arriving during the day and will be unable to take advantage of the EE hours. We thought of using them on Sat, but have "scheduled" DCA on that day and would like to use them on our last day, Monday (the 5th day), to maximize the time since we have to leave the park and head to the airport to go home.:sad1: .

I am still hoping that there is the possibility of upgrading twice, so I can use the EE with my friends.

I can't answer the questions on upgrading twice - I would think if you kept the receipt from the 1st upgrade you would be ok - but I cannot answer for sure. I know when I upgraded to AP they took the price I paid initially and deducted that off the cost of the AP - it is really a manual calculation done by a CM at the bank - so I would guess it would be ok - but definitely save the receipt - and maybe instead of having it planned - be more of a I had so much fun I want an AP :rolleyes1 . I do highly recommend though not dedicating a single day for DCA, and instead park hopping each day as DL gets busier.

We have done something like this. We bought our tickets via WDTC at the 4 day rate, then got there and didn't get our EE, so down to the WDTC office in DTD we got. Added on a day, then had to go back and add on another the next day (at $10.00 per ticket per add on day) THEN... after we had our EE we went straight to the AP office (mid day is empty) and upgraded.
The gals in the WDTC in the DTD office are FABULOUS!!! I think it was Amber, Traci and I forgot the other gals name, but that are just fabulous folks.

Not sure who you bought your tickets from, but if it was the Walt Disney Travel Company then this will work just fine. I don't think you can do this from the gate ticket booths and not sure about the AAA office.

Call the company you bought the tickets from and ask them.

Hope this helped.

PS.. you canget the WDTC # from the Disneyland web page under tickets and packages.
