Upgrading PHP to AP--pass value?

I am interested in knowing if anyone has upgraded a pass purchased through someplace OTHER than Disney (i.e. Paramount, Connections, AAA, etc). The passes are cheaper than what Disney charges, so I am assuming that the value of the pass, as far as an upgrade is concerned, is less.

I know how to upgrade the pass--I have done it once, and read all the recent information on Deb's site. That part is covered. I am just trying to get a ballpark figure in my head as to how much it would cost to upgrade our 7-day PHP to Annual Passes.

It's actually much less since not only do they sell the ticket for less than Disney does but when you go to upgrade it, Disney will only credit you with the wholesale value of the ticket. That's the price they sold it to the third party at. Disney will not credit you for any profit margin added on by the company or and shipping fee you paid.

The wholesale price varies but if you figure the trade in value to be about 10-12% less than what you paid for it, you should be pretty close.

that's what I was afraid of. I was hopeful that it was more along the lines of 5%. Thanks for the quick answer....

When you say 10-12% do you mean before taxes on the existing php or off the total you paid? I bought my 5 day php through connections for 188/236 ch/adult but it didn't add taxes so I'm assuming the taxes were already figured in. So I'm wondering if I should take the 6.5% tax (is that correct) off and then calculate the 10-12%.

Has anyone traded in php from Connections before?

Your adult tickets should worth be somewhere in the $203 to $213 range. Child in the $165 to $170 range.
