Upgrading PHP dilemma

I have a question.
I bought a 5 day PHP for my daughter, paying the advance purchase price. We are now flying instead of driving, have extra days at WDW, and I need to upgrade her pass to a 6 day PHP. I know I can do this at the ticket booths, but will I be paying the difference between the advance purchase rate of the 5 day and the at the booth rate of the 6 day($45) or will I get the rate between the 5 and 6 day advance rate(roughly $25) I'm pretty sure I can't upgrade at TDS, so there's no way to get the 6 day hopper at the advance purchase rate, unless I buy an entire new ticket.

My opinion:

You definitely won't be charged the $25. I believe you will lose the advance purchase discount you had since upgrades are governed by the regular gate prices.

You are correct that TDS cannot upgrade your ticket.

I'd be prepared for the $45 and be pleasantly surprised if it was anything less. Let us know how you make out when you get back.

Have you considered just buying another PH or PHP from TDS? Unused days don't expire, and you get the advanced purchase disount rate per day. Surely this won't be your last trip to WDW...

I have thought about it..but the thing is that we got my daughter the PHP only because she is not on our AP "schedule"( my husband and I bought our APs last Oct for that October trip(DD was still free), a Dec. trip for me, and the upcoming Sept. trip)
We won't buy new ones until next year(for 2 yrs worth of trips), so I want us all to have the same date for our APs-we probably won't need PH again.
