Upgrading MYW ticket

I just realized that I have seven ADULT one day MYW base tickets, that we were going to use for a previous trip, that got cancelled so the tickets have not been used.

I am going in October but have have five adult and two children.

Will I be able to upgrade the one day ADULT base MYW ticket to a 5 day CHILD park hopper ticket??

In our experience, as long as you are purchasing a more expensive pass, Disney is very accomodating about letting you apply the price of a less expensive ticket. I'm not sure if anything's changed with the MYW tickets. You could call to be sure.

I am told that a totally unused ticket can be traded in for any other kind of ticket (although you do not get any change back).

But no great loss if I am wrong, you can save the old ticket for yet further off in the future.
