If I upgrade my PAP (bought for $399 via the DVC promotion) to a Premiere Passport, how much will I get credited for the purchase of the upgraded pass? $399? Current gate price of the PAP? Or current gate price for the DVC PAP? Will the upgrade price be different if I upgrade in CA or FL?

There are no discounts for the Premier Passport.

You'd pay the difference between the price of the Premier passport and what you actually paid for the DVC PAP.

The DVC Special $399 PAP was a special, limited time promotion. Those tickets cannot be price-bridged to a regular-price DVC AP. So it would be the difference between the $856.59 of the DPP and the $424.94 of the Special DVC PAP. (Both prices include tax).

Thanks for the replies. I kind of figured I'd get the amount I paid, but I have two DLR trips coming up in the next several months (June and August), so the $425 or so it'll take for me to upgrade to the Premiere Passport will more than cover two DLR 4-day Park Hoppers.

Is there any benefit to upgrading in May in FL, when I activate my DVC PAP voucher, or in June in CA? I'm pretty sure tax is collected in both places, so the amount will be the same. But if I wait to upgrade in CA I won't have to pay until the end of June. Is there something I'm missing?

No benefit but if you get it in DLR, maybe they will give you the gate price for the DVC AP? is there anything on the AP that says it is a DVC AP?

The computers at WDW and DLR aren't linked. So, maybe it will work?

P.S. No flames please! Someone mentioned (in the CA board) that they were thinking about activating their So Cal AP first at DLR (they bought a voucher before the price increase), then taking it with them to WDW and seeing if they could get the higher So Cal rate (that it would be at the time of the vacation, after the price increase).

It will be the same price. Although there's no sales tax on the CA portion of it (CA doesn't yet charge tax on tickets like that) FL still needs the tax collected, and both places know to do that. :)

Be sure to look up all the benefits you'll have out at DLR! You'll get the merchandise and FOOD discounts at the Premium AP rate, which is pretty great! I love how DLR gives such better food discounts with the AP (even the deluxe one) than WDW does.

DLR knows how much a Premier costs, and I bet they'll be able to see what he paid for the DVC AP. They can connect enough to accept not-expired WDW tickets at the turnstiles, and to take a day for each day you use it off of the WDW ticket.

Nope.

They called to check and see how much you spent.
