Has anyone done this? Our AP passes expire on July 5th and we have some family coming into town this week and they want to go to TL. I wonder if it will be less expensive to upgrade our passes for this last month to PAP's or to just purchase TL pass for the day we go. This is of course assuming they prorate the upgrade.
Anyone upgrade for their last month before their AP's expired?
Thanks,
Tom

It will be less expensive to purchase the TL admission.

Disney does not prorate AP to PAP upgrades. You will have to pay the entire $120+ price difference to do so and your PAP will have the same expiration date as your original AP did. Doesn't matter if your AP has 11 months left or 11 days left.

This is correct. We upgraded our AP's to PAP's last week. The expiration date does not change.

Last year, we activated our AP's in May. We returned in August, and as the OP has stated, it would have been the full charge to upgrade. No prorating. What we did however, was buy a Waterpark AP (both parks included) It was about $100. for adults, and $80 for our DD. I don't know if that helps you or not, but I just wanted to throw out another option for you. Have fun!
