Upgrading 10 Day PH to AP

OK, I promise I have read the ticket sticky!! I am not the strongest math scholar, lol.
My family (4 of us) have 10-Day Park hoppers for our August '19 trip. I am looking to upgrade just my ticket to an AP when we arrive.

Two questions--

1. I assume upgrading once we arrive will have no impact on my FP's that I have booked?
2. What would be the cost to upgrade that one ticket? (I also purchased Memory Maker, I see this can be refunded or applied to the upgrade cost)

PS--Are there any benefits to me upgrading BEFORE we arrive?

Ok. When did you get the package? The value of the tickets will vary, depending on when you booked the package due to the new date-based tickets.

Also, if purchased as part of a package where everyone in your room had to get the same types of tickets, then I believe you have to wait til you get there to upgrade.

Ticket bought as part of a WDW Resort Package:
C __ Created BETWEEN Feb.11,2018 & Oct.16,2018. (Early 2018) Price list HERE.

Find the full Disney price for the kind of ticket that you HAVE on the early 2018 Price list HERE.
Subtract that early 2018 price from the current full Disney price for the kind of ticket that you WANT on the current late 2018 Price list HERE.

(So, a 10-day PH's value -from early 2018- would be $553.80 w/tax.)

Pay that difference price for the upgrade.

We did the exact same thing on our September 2018 trip. We had 11 day hoppers and Memory maker. We did the upgrade on day 3 or 4. I wish we would have done it on day 1 though. After we upgraded we were able to take advantage of the merchandise and dining discounts. You can do the upgrade right in your resort and get your cards immediately.
