Upgrades

Hi all,

I need some advice on upgrades for Virgin Atlantic.

At the moment I've got Economy seats booked, but as with most people would love to get those Premium Economy seats!

Is it cheaper to book them early or wait until I arrive at Gatwick and see what is available?

Any thoughts or experiences, please let me know.

you may not be able to book them before you get to the airport as it depends on what type of economy ticket you have as not all of them are upgradable

also at the airport is not guarenteed, we normally fly every year wth them and have only ever had the chance one year to upgrade at the airport and that was for £150 each for one way

Always cheaper at the airport but if there is no availability you fly economy.

You could phone VA in the meantime and ask what type of ticket you have and whether it is eligible for upgrade. Then at least you know where you stand with regard to making a decision.
