Upgrades on 10-day cruise?

Just curious if anyone booked on the special 10-day cruise has received an upgrade. I noticed on Disney's online booking that only cat 8-11 are available. I was surprised at the high prices for this particular cruise that all veranda cabins would be gone. I was wondering if DCL upgraded people to clear rooms at "cheaper" rates.

I would guess that they are selling out on their own. For 10 days I would need at least a window, most likely a balcony. This is also a special trip that's in high demand. I wish we were going!

They're still showing rooms for cat 11 up to 6 so there is a possibility but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the upgrade.:sad2:

Yes, 11 to 6, special circumstances and twice in a blue moon...Two blue moons?

No- Im not expecting an upgrade- it would be a miracle- Im not even booked on the cruise! I was just shocked when I looked at prices for categories 8-11 and couldnt believe that more expensive categories were sold first.

We are on an Antigua cruise and for 3 of us it is way, way way less than 1/2 of what the 10 day christmas cruise is pricing out.

We are waitlisted for an upgrade to a category 3, 2 or 1 (at our expense, of course). If it doesn't come through we will probably cancel.

When we were on the Magic last week Donna, the sales manager, told us that the 10 day Christmas cruise is almost sold out!
