upgraded to 1BR within 6 days

I just wanted to let everyone know that I upgraded from a studio to a 1BR std. view at BWV yesterday for this Sunday arrival. I was pleasantly suprised at the std. view availability.

I know this question is going to sound dense, but please bear with me...I'm a DVC newbie. Are you talking about paying extra points to upgrade accommodations? When you're staying on points, there's no "comp" upgrades, are there?
