upgrade, SP ?'s

So-I finally decided to upgrade my fl 4day PH to SP instead of upgrading the gAD to Fl dreampass. and yes i'm within the original 6 mos usage date.

We're arriving tomorrow...

Do I upgrade the passes 1st and then present the vouchers for FP or pins?

I think I remember reading that 3 month extension for FL res may still be in effect. does anyone (Cheshire Figment) know?

I think the 15 month new FL pass offer ended Dec. 31st.

So long as whatever multi-day pass you have in hand still has a valid day on it, you don't have to upgrade it before turning in the GAD voucher.

Yes, in that case you need to make it "valid" again first

That ended December 31, 2009. I upgraded ours in January (we bought them in Sept) we were not given the 3 extra months. You could save your GAD for renewing your SP if they expire before January 15, 2011. The GAD expires December 16, 2010 but you can upgrade 30 days prior to your SP expiring so it will still work as long as the upgrade is done before the GAD voucher expires. DD16 SP expires late January so I can't use the voucher to renew. So she will use hers for the figurine. My SP expires in November so I will use my GAD voucher to renew. Expiration dates don't add up but lets just say a new CM sprinkled some pixie dust on us .

oh-now you threw a wrench in it our passes expire right around Dec 14,15,16. Too lazy to look right now. So I was thinking about the figurine b/c I don't think we'll need FP.

But I guess I've got to decide in the next day....

wold I exchange it for the ticket now and then hold onto the tickets until renewal and then upgrade those?

No, unfortunately that won't work. The ticket is only good the day you get it - if you don't use it, it expires at the end of the day. After you use it, you have a 14 day window in which you can upgrade it ("upgrading" to a pass renewal is permitted). So you'd have to be AT DISNEY (GAD tickets can only be handled in person) within 30 days of the expiration in order to use the GAD ticket towards your renewal.

I have a FL Res Seasonal Pass, and it expires at the end of the month. Disney just sent me a reminder notice with a letter explaining how I'd get 3 months free if I renew. So, the 3 months free promotion is still in effect.

Renewals are still 15 months, until August 31st. There was a FL Resident offer on 15 months on NEW purchases, which ended Dec. 31st.

ok-so given the fact that i already have my voucher printed-If I waited until Dec-would there be anypossibility I would not get the GAD ticket b/c they ran out? Or is the running out-the opportunity to take part in GAD?

The "running out" is the ability to sign up for a particular opportunity. You've already got a voucher, so you are all set. Even those already signed up and confirmed for an opportunity are all set, so long as they complete their opportunity.
