Upgrade and keep FDP?

I want to switch our entire stay from POFQ to Contemporary, can we keep our free dining plans? I really want to stay at a deluxe for the monorail to keep tot happy.

When I called and asked, I was told that I could, as long as that hotel had NOT sold out all their FDP rooms. Bummer for us, because we were hoping for WL Woodsview or Standardview.
