(UPDT: 2/21) Losing The Glass Slippers to RUN like a Princess! Serial-PTRer report!

How exciting to have your ADR's complete. I have never eaten in the castle...and honestly...not sure that I ever will. :confused3 It's not that I don't want to, but rather I am a little bit of a cheapskate. Not sure I could fork out that kind of money for it. Who knows...maybe one day.

OMG...I absolutely LOVE the super hero costumes....how adorable. I hope your bursitis isuues get better and you are able to continue to train at the pace you want. Good luck and pixie dust! pixiedust:

Great ADRS!!! Do they let you make ADR's at Beaches and Cream? When I tried they told me they didn't. But maybe I got a misinformed cast member?! We want to eat there for lunch the day after the 1/2 since we are staying there as well!

And so glad your foot is doing better & you were able to do the Superhero race! Woo! Looks like fun!

Well hello my friend. Love your choices for ADR's! I've never eaten in the castle either. I may have to think about that one for next time, but I'm like others --- I just can't see spending 2 table service credits for one meal. Ugh. So, I saw your Superhero run on FB, and I just love the group picture!! We walked pass YC/BC this past week and it's sooo gorgeous, but you already know that! We actually fed the ducks on the beach and Victoria actually was able to pick one up and cuddle with it! :rotfl:

Not to hijack your ptr, but I would like your thought on POP room locations. I've paid for preferred, but do I really need to? Since you are the POP Queen, I knew I could ask you! ;)

No, no! No paying for preferred at POP! What do you want most? Quiet? Theming? Close to Classic Hall?

I don't think there are really ANY rooms that are too far away, although I don't really care for the 70s and 80s. I LOVE the 50s section and if you get 50s section lake view, you will have a view of AoA and possibly you will be able to see the fireworks from Epcot & very far away MK. Pic:

I also find the 50s section really peaceful.

For our upcoming trip with just me and the girls, I'm requesting 60s lake view because I want to be a bit closer to the hippy dippy pool. Unless you WANT pool view, don't pay for preferred!

I think the most important thing for us is to be close to transportation. I've been reading the Pop thread (as well as your TR's with POP) and a lot of people like the 90's for that as we can cut across the parking lot to the busses.....Have you stayed in the 90's?

I stayed in the 90s (just realized this looking at the map, thought it was the 80s, it was near the 90s parking lot), 70s, and 50s. YES, we cut through the parking lot to get to the bus stop when we were in the 90s and 70s and it was very convenient! I just prefer being near the lake and don't mind walking, so I think it's all personal preference.

I think the only place I wouldn't want to be is the far 80s, near the 70s/80s parking lot (look on the map) only b/c it still might not be far if you cut through the lot to the bus, but it will feel pretty far from Classic Hall.

I'm looking at the map and thinking the 90's building closest to the 90's parking lot. I think it would be building #9, since the room numbers go from 9101-9472, but I'll have to research a little more to make sure. I know, I know....it would not be guaranteed, just a request......;)

And I really do appreciate your input. That building should be pretty quiet I would imagine as it's not "in the middle" of all the action. The computer pool is right there, too, which I love.

Not a problem! Pop is Savannah's "HOME", she says, and we have really enjoyed our stays there! :thumbsup2

So I figured out my request will be Building #9, which is the 80's section, facing the 90's parking lot. That should give me what I want the most. I would really love to be by the elevators, but I know that's pushing it to request that, too. :rotfl2:

Just like a true DISer...you could always just request an actual room number, that's not even unheard of around these parts!

Hello, hello! Today is 169 days! The girls think it's flying, they were in shock yesterday when I said we were at 170. I guess it would seem that way since I've been counting down with them since at least 335! :lmao:

I got a great idea from Pixiedust530 for Smash books! I have seen Smash books before, but it never crossed my mind to do them for Disney. Basically a smash book is a scrapbook but you smash it all in there! ;) I thought if I got smallish ones, they could use them for journaling, pics, and autographs. These are a little bigger than 5/7 and can be carried around the parks. They come with a pen attached that also has a glue stick on the opposite side and have funky and unique pages inside to decorate.

I bought stickers and printed out some Disney related things that they could cut out and paste in their books. They decided to decorate the covers first.

You can see the actual size of them in this shot. These were called "mini smash books" on Amazon.

I had a good time sitting with them, talking about Disney, and listening to music while they decorated!

The covers came out SO CUTE! Savannah's is the one on the left, Eleanor's is on the right.

They decided to decorate the insides a BIT, but not totally, because that will be done after the trip. We saved all the cutout words and stickers for when they get home and want to add photos and other things from the trip. Some of their pages:

This was funny, Savannah said she was going to ask one of the Princesses to hold a cupcake and take their picture for this page. I dared her to do it...if you know Savannah (very shy) you would know this is a huge dare. We'll see!

Savannah added this to her last page because she said something ALWAYS has to go wrong, so she was just preparing for it!

This took a few hours of our afternoon to do, but I think they really enjoyed it and making their own autograph books/journal/smashbooks made it more personal for them.

Now, if we could just get my injured heel (heel bursitis) healed up, maybe I could train for this half marathon I'm supposed to be running in 171 days!!!!!! :scared1:

LOVE the smash books!! I can hardly wait to see if Savannah follows through on that dare. And who knows, maybe that last page will stay empty... One of these days everything has to go right!

Those smash books are soooo cool!!! I recognized some of those stickers from my own scrapbook supplies. They both did such a good job!! And it's a really great idea! This year I had a little Shutterfly 4x6 photobook for my autographs. It really worked out well. Note to self --- sharpies work the best!!

Oh my goodness Karen....the girls did such a wonderful job on their covers AND their inside pages. They look wonderful, and the mini size will be just perfect for journaling, autographing and smashing. TOO COOL!!! :cool1: I cannot take all the credit for the idea. I got it from my friend Julie (mousescrapper) that I had a DisMeet with in 2011. She posted on FB, or Pinterest, or her blog (heck I can't remember) a link to some Disney Smashbooks and I fell in LOVE!

I can't wait to see the finished products! :thumbsup2

I hope that heel gets healed up soon!

Yes, one of these days...I always feel like Aragorn though..."today is NOT that day!" Ok, geeked out there. :lmao:

Thanks! I think Hope did a shutterfly book a few times and they came out really cool.

Hey! I know Julie!! Well, I know her from the DIS, I'm not sure if she would remember me, she used to follow my neverending pretrip report, I think. ;) Thanks, I hope the heel heals too. Haha...heel heals. Where's the dork smiley?

I thought maybe you knew Julie...actually that might have been how I found you or she found me or something like that! :confused3 I remember back when I was writing my 2011 PTR was when I "met" you and Julie both! :) Isn't it crazy (but very cool) how we make friends with the people we meet on the DIS and we just don't forget each other? :wave2:

Cute books! What a fun way to get into the disney mood.

Hope your heel is on the mend soon....that can't be fun. :sad2:

It is! I love the internet sometimes...and love the DIS almost all the times. :rotfl:

Thanks Ann! Ugh, it's slow going and I keep pushing it when I shouldn't. I need to just get totally better before I have to really start training!
