updating info

I am trying to create a new avatar. it wants status. what is that? and home page. what is that? it won't let me save it without this info thanks

oh! I see it did let me create the avatar after all. but I still don't know what infot hye want for the other 2 questions...

A status message will show under your username on your profile page, and also the most recent status messages appear in the ticker on the Home page. I guess homepage is if you have a website you like to share, again it likely shows in your user profile page. It's not a required field.
