UPDATED with Good news!!!10/2 Last minute...Do we have any chance at all?

I did call this afternoon and got the first night at SSR, the 3-5 nights at OKW. So, now I'm on the waitlist for the 2nd night at either resort. I'm going to keep calling to get that 2nd night for OKW, since I could only hold two requests. Thanks for the advice, everyone! I would have never have known to call and separate the nights if wasn't for this Board and willing fans to give your input! I'm so excited!!!!!!

Have you checked on the DVC Points for Rent section of this website to see if anyone has a reservation already booked that they can't use for one reason or another? According to the rules it would have to be within 30 days of the reservation to be posted. I've got a couple of days reserved at the end of this month if that helps.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been keeping my eye on the board, but there hasn't been anything for my specific dates yet. But it's working out anyway, Disney has a magical way of doing that.

Well bugging MS everyday has earned me a Disney vacation and a stay at AKL. Got December dates for 4 nights, waitlisted a 5th.

I have been on a waitlist for New Years Eve since July. I am on for BWV, BCV,OKW and SSR. I know, you can only be on 3 but I had a problem with my last trip and one of the big managers of DVC put me on for all 4 hoping something will come up. So far nothing.
I decided to take a trip that is kind of last minute and called Friday for reservations in either a studio or 1 bedroom for 10/17 - 10/22. There was nothing in any resort during that time. It will be only me so I won't take a 2 bedroom even if there was one available.
I plan on calling once a week for the New Year trip starting this month, the Oct trip might be tough, it is only a week away, so I either have to find a cheap resort or stay with my friend and make the hour drive every day to the parks.
