I just need a little faith and trust and little pixie dust.. Sooo WE canceld our trip for Aug with the free dining because we are supposed to be moving into our own place again and get out of my sisters house however we have been waiting now since Feb if we don't get in by the time our trip was supposed to be I'll be having some very bad days when I think of what I could have been doing!!!!! so I'll update our plans soon.. Thanks Michelle

Couple of trips for 2012 :
April 5th - 11th with DD softball team who will play in the Wide World of Sports

(maybe if i am really lucky i might win a trip from work around the beginning of May shhh fingers crossed!1)

June 27 - July 7 with whole family - We need this time together before my DD heads off to College in the fall of 2012.

I had a special birthday in 2010 you see I was born on 10/10/70 so that meant on 10/10/10 I turned 40 -- yep the BIG 4 - 0 :goodvibes.. and I desprately wanted to be in the Magic Kindgom at 10:10 am and pm to celebrate but alas that was not meant to happen nor was this orginal trip Aug 18 -27, 2011 so new details below I was pretty spoiled for a while from 2001 to 2007 I went 9 times (2001-2006 with my 2 kids and 2005-2006-2007 I took 3 solo trips without the kids :) ) by the time we go back it will have about 6 yrs since we've been.. :scared1: Oh and well the Hubs has NEVER BEEN!!!! :confused3

We took our first big family vacation this past summer (2010) driving from Standish, Maine to Williamsburg Va to Busch Gardens & Water Country - it was a good test (we all decided that the being stuck in the car for long periods of time was insane but the rest of the trip was a success) here we are enjoying our day at Busch Gardens Europe

the Cast and Crew:

Me : the Vet aka Honey (Michelle age 40) - I have been a Disney lover for many many years. Used to go when I was young to babysit my younger cousins, took 2 trips with my Ex - who has extremely bad Disney Karma :sad2:, have taken my children on 6 trips and gone by myself on 3 other trips. I incorporate Disney into my day every day - I love to listen to Disney Music, watch Disney Movies, and Scrapbook my Disney trips.. Someday I will live closer to the Magic and be the Happiest soul around..

DSCF0294.jpg

the Hubs aka the Newbie (Chris 28) : I was a single mother for 10 years before meeting & marring my soulmate in Nov 2008 - the Hubs/Newbie -- he is truely a genuine and honest man. He loves me and my children:lovestruc. He has NEVER been to Disney, hence the name the Newbie.. He is a Chef and has some OCD which at times is good and not so good. He works hard and he likes he downtime. He is a city kid living in the country. He is quite fond of our Dog - Copper & 2 Cats - Bandit & Levi. The Newbie has epilepsy and takes daily meds - has not had a seizure in over 10 years and I'd like to keep it that way - so there are something things he won't ride on our trip

Princess Beauteous aka Punk (Meg age 17) : Disney is not her favorite place per say but is up for a summer trip because we haven't been there in a long time. She got her license in June 2010 so that has been good (she can drive herself and brother places)and not soo good .(she can drive herself and brother places which means I worry more LOL). Excels in school - it's all just easy to her, plays Softball and is Manager of the HS Ice Hockey team. Loves to socialize, be with her friends and is attched to her phone, laptop and ipod like every teen I know.. Unless Princess B has gotten much braver there are some rides she won't go on (ToT, RnR, Everest)

DSCF0051.jpg

Buddy aka Bud (Kyle age 14) : He likes Disney more then his sister but isn't always up to admitting that to anyone but me LOL. He is growing like a weed - about 8 inches total over the summer and is now much taller then me, his voice has gotten deeper, and he is filling out.. this makes me :sad1: . School is fairly easy for him. He likes NASCAR, Ultimate Fighter, and Mythbusters. He plays Ice Hockey and loves Lacrosse. HE is always moving and he is not afraid of any ride - which means even though ToT isn't my kind of ride I go so he can ride it.

Our Trip plans : Right now I am focusing on the Softball Trip - this one is a for sure trip and looks as if it might just be me and DD - Fun !
When I firm up the summer plans I'll post on those..

Still going to do the Cruise for the summer trip but no dining - it appears to not be such a good deal anymore

New to the plans..
I'm going to surprise them with a Wishes or Illuminations Fireworks Cruise.. :thumbsup2
I've decided that even though it'll be a bit more $$ I'm going to upgrade to the Dine Plan :thumbsup2

updates 12/29/10

Lots of good ADR! We did Teppan Edo last year and loved it. Looooove CP breakfast too. CM is on our list for this coming trip.

I'm in!

we have a place here called ShoGun and they have the habitachi table and we love it well Hubs, myself and DD - Ds hasnt' tried it, but my kids are big so they can always just leave Hubs and I and get a counter service in the WS if they want.. We always do Chef Mickey's for the Napkin twirling (foods good too haa) and Crystal Palace because I love EEYORE.

We are trying lots of new dining this trip - Teppen Edo, Tony's, WCC, SciFi and Ohana - well because kids are older and like more stuff now and I now have a Hubs (2nd grown up) vs. just myself & the kids (you know it's easier to eat at counters then try and sit down sometimes :) )

UGH seems to be a freshman football or Disney family vacation dilema!!!!

so you know I booked the free dining promo for Aug 19 -27 and in the fall my DS will be a 9th grader he is a football player and practice will start Aug 1 (i believe its 5 days a week) and from what I've heard (from his stepmother) he must attend camp Aug 15 to 17th (ok he can do that part) AND participate in double sessions for the week of the 22nd in order to play ..

Now I've sent a note to this year's Freshman coach who coached my DS in 7th grade and told him what I'd heard and if it was true. I'm still awaiting an answer but for now I feel  to my stomach!! there is the option to leave my DS home with his dad - insert whinny voice and stomping feet - it's supposed to be a family summer vacation!!! Plus I would not want to leave him home - he is looking forward to going.. I feel awful making him choose but I do not want to cancel or trip due to a school sport when school hasn't even started

Stay tuned !!!

Well I've still not heard back from the coach but I talked to DS over the weekend and told him that in the next few months he'll have to make a decision about football and I didn't want the vacation to decide for him - I said think hard about it and if you want to play GREAT play and we'll work out some other vacation during a non-football time (actually he and I might go for a long weekend in May :) if he does choose to play) My Dh and I decided that we will still go in Aug no matter what and my DD can invite a friend to come (or she could choose to stay home but I don't' think that will happen unless she can't find a friend who can come with us) I am feeling much better about everything today..

Update - DS made his decision he wants to go on vacation with the family and we heard back from the athletic director/head football coach - it won't count against him but he will be behind on some plays and state rules (practice 2 days with just helmet/2days with upper pads and helmet/2 days with full gear) so he will miss the first few games but DS has a plan to work with the coaches before he goes and borrow a playbook to study while we are gone and I think it'll work out ok. I will not plan anymore vacations for Aug while he is in HS..

Gave quick thought to changing our plans so they don't interfer with FB (there is a new FD promo out for those lucky enough to have pin) but flights are sooo much more expensive in July! so our plans are still good

Well not sure if we are going - the cost of airfare is skyrocketing and we really want to move out of my sisters - We have something in the works but alot depends on other people (we are hopefully purchasing a moblie home in a moblie home park in our town from a friend of my aunts who elderly mom is going to a nursing home when they find one they like with room) so for us to move in and own the moblie home we need like $3500 which is our airfare plus some of the vacation $$ but we are not sure when this will happen - next week, next month, next 6 months, in a year???.. so I'm happy yet sad...

Ok so the plan is to travel with my DD softball team, this is a for sure trip for her and as long as I am saving my pennies (dollars too) then I'll have enough to go as well. She has been looking forward to this since she was a freshmen our school goes every other year.

I've looked at touringplans.com and have a rough outline but of course it'll be thrown to the wind when we get our softball schedule and such..

so don't think i'll have many updates until later this fall. stay tuned.
