Updated May Hours

So how do we know when and what time the EMH are?

You must always ADD the EMH hours to the posted hours (posted times are the "regular hours" open for all guests.)

AM EMH means that the park will always open 1 hour earlier than the posted regular opening time for WDW resort guests.

PM EMH means that the park will always close 3 hours later than the posted regular closing time for WDW resort guests.

PM EMH is ALWAYS 3 hours. Always.

The "up to" is lawyer-speak for, "except when the hurricane is coming." ;)

On some nights of the year, MK closes at 1am, so with PM EMH that means MK is open until 4am.

So how do we know when and what time the EMH are?

The top of the calendar has the regular park hours for each park. At the bottom of each day it lists which parks, if any, have EMH AM or PM. Add 3 hours for PM, start 1 hour earlier for AM.

Oh, there they are. I didn't see them there.

Thanks!

And let's hear a round of applause for ALL of us from Kansas who are going to WDW in May!!!

I'm confused. How do they have a Fantasmic @ 10:30 if the park closes at 10?

Very common.

Most guests who want to see the 10:30 show are already in the theater by 10PM, anyway.

10PM that night is when the close the -entrances- to the other attractions.
It's not when they lock the doors.

I'm confused. Disney's website has hours listed that differ from those of the OP. Can anyone help?

While no calendar is always 100% accurate (things change all the time,)
if there is a discrepancy between the so-called "official" WDW calendar(s) and the "Travel Agent's Calendar," always give the benefit to the TA calendar.

The so-called "official" WDW calendar(s) are traditionally less reliable and well-maintained than the TA site.

Are the 3 late night closings on May 20, 21 and 22 do to it being the opening weekend of Star Wars new ride and and the first Star Wars Weekend?

Creates a dilemma for me in that we were going to DHS on May 26th which was supposed to be a low crowd day. With the extended hours and second F! I'm afraid I may end up having to move my whole week around. Sad thing is, there is really no good day to attend DHS the entire weeks of my stay.

We are sort of in the same boat. We are going to DHS on Friday the 27th to see the Star Wars weekend stuff. We picked that night because it had no Fantasmic. Maybe it won't be too bad and we stay and watch the show.

Don't tell anyone but it is one of my favorite shows.

This is scary to me. We are going the weekend of Mother's Day and there were no crowds last year. This year it looks to be swamped. Why is it so different?

Thank-you for posting these! I think DHS will be easier with so may choices for Fantasmic! It should spread people out over the week rather than having everyone there on the only day it is offered. So bad news - they think they will have enough people to need the extra shows but good news - they added them to make it better for us that are there. Now I have to figure out if I need to move some plans around.
