Yes, I get it. Folks have been doing this for years, years! DH is just set in his ways and I don't want to henpeck or fight with him especially over money.

OH, oh, oh! The No No Clouds have finally dispersed and DH is now interested in getting a Generac. Omg, I clearly remember posting about wanting one a year ago. I asked him why now and he replied The weather is really changing. :crutches:

What!?, What, did I not mention that a year ago! :rotfl:

It's another win and I'll take it!

Slowly my evil plans are working, I'll get my way. :stir:
What kind of Generac are you thinking of? Plug in or standby? We have a plug in. It’s big enough for the whole house to run. My mother we convinced to get a standby since she is older and it’s just better for her to not have to worry about anything. It was pretty pricey, but it was worth it.

I can’t speak highly enough of our standby Generac. We live in New England and, while it was incredibly expensive when we were on a super tight budget with 2 kids in daycare and preschool (and with me only working half-time), it has been so worth it with the crazy summer storms and snowstorms.

DH is thinking whole house but we'll have to look into our budget & his upcoming bonus from work. He just bought me that new truck and monthly payments are high.

Just saying, I don't use TopCashback but right now they're showing 3.6% at Target which is very good for non gift card purchases and I say that because not everyone gets paid for those. My recommendation, buy merchandise, not sure if this will work on groceries.

Our plug in powers the whole house, but you have to manually hit the switch at the fuse box to switch over and keep gas on hand to run it. Funnily enough since we got it we haven’t had a power outage. My mom got the standby unit and she has it run off natural gas (I think if you don’t have natural gas you can get a big propane tank and run it that way). It will also run the whole house.

It will definitely be on natural gas for us.

Wow!

NATIONAL NEWS: FAA is pausing all domestic departures after reporting a system outage.

The Federal Aviation Administration is pausing all domestic flight departures until 9 a.m. ET after a technology outage reported overnight.

The FAA's system for alerting pilots and airports of real-time hazards, called NOTAM (Notice to Air Missions), went dark around 3:28 a.m. ET.

"THE FAA is experiencing an outage that is impacting the update of NOTAMS. All flights are unable to be released at this time," the FAA said in an advisory announcing the issue.

More than 1,200 flights had been delayed within, into or out of the United States as of 7:15 a.m. ET, shortly before the FAA announced the pause.

The FAA had opened a hotline to address equipment issues by 5:58 a.m. ET, as some NOTAM functions began to come back on line.

Airports and airlines nationwide were warning on Twitter before the ground stop that delays would be expected. CNN

Where are you seeing this offer? I went to DH account top deals and nothing except something about oil diffusers?
I got an email and then found it in top deals by the oil diffuser. Also, I was wrong and it's in store only, so I'm a little bummed. I love curbside!

We went to Kroger last night to fill up on fuel but their system was down. And for the past few days I've been looking for organic celery (need it for the pups homemade dog food) to no avail. None at Costco either.

This is us - plug in with gas to run it. And it is priceless since we live in the Houston area. My husband bought it and installed it (he owns his own HVAC company and is mighty skilled in many facets). And each time the electricity goes, a neighbor will always come over and say that they want him to install one for them too! We've got about 6 of them, brand new, sitting in our shed in our back yard - please pay him to do it and help us declutter that shed!

For those who didn't get the latest Target Circle Rewards offer, did it finally show up for you? I've experienced delays as well. Unfortunately DH still doesn't have this offer.

Target Circle Reward Offer: Various Offers
Spend X amount, 2, 3, or 4 times & Get a $ Reward.
Expires 1/23/23. Post #13242 :thumbsup2 @Princess Michele
Nothing for me. I've only received one offer EVER and that only posted one completion even though I did the three different purchases. Customer service was no help (in the store and phone call).

I have this same issue. I've only ever been offered one Target Circle Rewards offer in all of my Target years. Makes little sense to me. Also makes me want to NOT shop at Target.

Sorry, I thought this offer deserved it's own post with all the details!

Hmmm, went out to lunch today and ordered a Caesar salad and server informed me that restaurant couldn’t get romaine lettuce so no Caesar salads for today...maybe these are vegetables that are trucked in from California and not available due to storms out there.

Depending on where they are coming and going from for sure. The sierras have been getting nailed and 80 was closed. The National news showed the loooong line of trucks waiting. I'd imagaine a lot of the produce goes that way with some going south on i5 to i10.
