I just wanted to mention that Rakuten has a gift card shop where you buy gift cards and get a percentage back in your Rakuten account. They are good for buying gift cards to places that don't generally get discounted. For example, we needed to buy a new winter coat from Saks off 5th and they have Saks gift cards at Rakuten at 6% back.

Went back to WM yesterday for some more variable load dgc and their 3 massive four sided display racks of gc near the checkout area was reduced to 1 sad, rummaged through rack. Apparently come Dec 26 gc are not the bang up sale item they are going into Dec 25.

Interesting comments:

• Strangely, they do say you can’t use the award to purchase gift cards, something I just did online yesterday.
• Madison Heights MI not excluded?
• Just use a different email address. To be extra safe you can go online and change your address for your current membership to something random & local.
• De-activate auto renewal immediately. Sometimes their self checkout registers try to get you to agree to it on a screen after you scan your card, with a screen with a big OK that takes up half the screen, and a tiny check box with tiny print saying you authorize auto renewal at full price….
• Also get new membership at the beginning of the month (1/01/23), so you get the 1-year membership till end of that month next year, for a total of 13 months.
• You must make a new account.
  You must use a new email address to sign up.
  You can not renew an account.
• If you are using a GMail account. Type in your Email address +anything @gmail.com. This will allow you to get new account but, still receive email at your same address.( Example : MyEmail+1@gmail.com or MyEmail+123@gamil.com or Myemail+bjs1@gmail.com,.....)

If you wait until Jan 1st 2023 as suggested, I'm not seeing any CC offers that will apply, so weigh your options carefully.
If Madison Heights is not excluded I'll definitely try to get in on this deal.
