Just popping in to say, yes you can combine Disney gift cards, however when purchased from a third party site like Raise there are exceptions.

Fair Warning
  • You should never combine Disney gift cards purchased from "discounted websites" with gift cards purchased from a regular store.
The reason for the warning, if anything should happen with the gc like the seller is untrustworthy and says the card was stolen or whatever, Disney will put a freeze on the card.
  • Also reported when buying gc’s through “discounted websites” Disney may request proof of purchase prior to adding funds back onto your cards. You can read more about that: here

Yes Exactly, if you type Disney in the search bar and wait a second it has the two options. "Disney store" and "Disney", If you want the general card it's the "Disney" one.
I set up new account and put credit card in and then when it came to view receipt they want me to re enter card and address again. Is this normal.

I give up with stupid raise. I have entered my cc in about 10 times.

  • If you have Wayfair Amex Offers or Chase Offers on any of your cards, the statement credits from those should be triggered by buying these gift cards
  • According to Stephen at GCG: the only Happy/Giving Good/Choice brands with Wayfair on them have to be converted online to Wayfair gift cards rather than being used as restricted Visa gift cards like some physical Happy gift cards. As a result, the only way Happy & Happy-esque gift cards could be used to buy these third party gift cards on Wayfair’s website is if you can buy them with Wayfair gift cards themselves
    • So, you could convert a Happy GC to a Wayfair GC and potentially purchase a DGC

Has anyone ever had their Sam's Club cash app orders canceled? All of mine from last weeks 10% were pending and then canceled. Cash App said it was Sam's that canceled...but Sam's shipped every single gift card I ordered and all were valid.

Hello! This thread has been very helpful (if a bit overwhelming). I'm trying to figure out the best way to use my accumulated mypoints and swagbucks to get Disney gift cards. I'd like physical gift cards (at least two), and I don't want to have a whole bunch of $25 ones. So it seems there are a few parts to this:

- What should I redeem for on MP/SB? The best options seem to be either paypal or Visa prepaid. Visa prepaid is fewer points - are there any fees with those? On SB, it's also fewer points to order one $25 per month for a few months, but then I have to consolidate in some fashion later.

- Where should I buy the Disney gc? It looks like I could buy them from Target using the Visa or maybe paypal (online); or from shopdisney using paypal, or possibly the Visa if I connect it to paypal first? With either of those, does anyone know if I can use multiple Visa prepaids, or would I have to have the amount equal (or use paypal)?

- Once I have the Disney gcs, if they are smaller amounts, I can consolidate them using Disney's site, correct? I'm a little apprehensive of that just now given the recent threads about stolen funds, but it sounds like that's still okay if I delete the cards after consolidating them?

If there's a way to do this all and get an "extra" discount, that would be great, but I'm not interested at this point in any of the YMMV strategies - it's already "free" money so my main priority is just making sure it works. Thanks!

My current method for Swagbucks:

The first Visa gift card you get each month is discounted more than the others you get. So, I get one $25 Visa Gift card each month. I load that to my Paypal account, send $24 to my wife's Paypal account, and she deposits it into our shared bank account we specifically have for vacations.

After that first card, I cash out to Paypal, leaving enough SBs in my account for the next month's Visa card. Sometimes you can use those Paypal funds to purchase cards directly. But, we use credit cards to purchase the gift cards, then use the bank account funds to pay off the credit card.

Once I get the DGCs, I combine them using the DisneyGiftCard website, as well as add them to my spreadsheet with the card info.

Has anyone ever had their Sam's Club cash app orders canceled? All of mine from last weeks 10% were pending and then canceled. Cash App said it was Sam's that canceled...but Sam's shipped every single gift card I ordered and all were valid.

I had that happen to me on one of my orders...First I got charged by the CashApp, then Sam's shipped the giftcards but they had no balance on them, then the Cashapp refunded my money and then eventually the CashApp charged me again. I complained to Sam's Club and they refunded me the money around a week later.

Are you saying you received gift cards from Sam's but weren't charged for them? If so, either you got free gift cards or eventually they will post the charge again.

Here's what I don't understand. The full number isn't given on the Disney Gift Card site so the money would have had to have been transferred off using the website which would have shown as a transfer NOT as a purchase at Disneyland. Furthermore, when logging into the DGC website, you get alerted via an email of a sign in to your account, which should also raise red flags so I don't see how this could have originated from the website. Regardless, I don't leave my cards stored there UNLESS I'm on vacation and have cards with me. In which case I do leave an empty and my full one up there in case I lose the full one, I can quickly transfer funds to an empty.
They hacked into her Disney gift card account online. She had a card stored there with money on it. They added their own card to the online account, and transferred her money to their card. Then they deleted her card and kept their card on her account so she can see all the charges they made at Disneyland. They even gave that card the name “Work.”

On that thread users note that both two factor authentication and/or the alerts that your account has been logged into is spotty and random at best. More than one person on there claimed they never received a two factor identification step. I personally have. Others have too. It doesn’t seem Disney allows the user to select this as a login option but instead it’s random. I browse private a lot. Perhaps that’s why I get hit with the extra step. Other times they don’t make me go through the extra step at all. I’ve experienced the randomness firsthand.

For the login alert there are also posts on that thread of people not receiving those and the OP specifically said she never received that alert. It might have gone to her junk. Who knows.

With the big corporate breaches much of our login info is sold on the dark web and hackers set up programs to run variations of the logins on other popular sites. It’s very possible for her Disney account to get hacked. Even if she had received the Disney email alert, the $ is gone by the time some people get around to checking their email. It’s too late.

I'm not sure why @island tiki created a new thread Stolen funds!!

We've long recommended that you do not store your DGC on disneygiftcards.com as this is not the first incident reported, though it is most recent. For you newbies, please take heed.
I’m glad she created a new thread. We are all
following her story albeit from more of a cautionary tale. It’s generated pages of good discussion opening peoples’ eyes to the many ways money can be stolen from the cards and reiterates that GCs need to be safeguarded like cash.

I’m a HUGE Disney gift card user, but I don’t think the discussion belonged here on this thread. Some people on that thread are tech novices and didn’t understand all the ways it could even happen so it’s good to get people up to speed on this important aspect of gift carding as a separate topic.

That being said I’m appreciative you cross posted it here as a heads up for everyone following this thread too.

Hi! Welcome!

You've had some good advice from @TJsMomSarahJane, and I don't want to echo all of it, but I will say it is safe to use the Disney Gift Card website to consolidate your cards, as long as you delete them after. The DGC site states that it is not a mobile wallet, which is their way of saying, store card details here at your own risk.

I have one physical GC and eGC in my Apple wallet. When I know which one I want to add the balance to, I quickly go onto the website, put in the details, and then delete. It would be nice if there were a place in the WDW app where you could store GCs for purchases-- maybe that'll come soon as they are trying to get people to use their phone more, and magic bands less.

Very similar. My wife and I placed six orders over 3 days total, all of the gift cards shipped with balances (now consolidated onto other cards) the money was the out of cash app and then 5 days later cash app says the pending orders were cancelled by Sam's and we have the balances back in cash app.

I'm gonna wait a few days to see if sam's processes the orders again.

Yes! I had that happen to one.. what is going on with that? 😳 I will need to check and see if the cards are active.
