AARP have been trying to get me to sign up for a few years now. I don't have anything against them but I really don't see it as a benefit. Yes, they offer a variety of discounts but buying discounted gc's at grocery stores etc. seems like a better deal when using the right cc and cb portal, YMMV.

Their Daily Deals for example, are limited to one. Other caveats include:

• Limit 5 discounted gift cards per month.
• New offer available to the first 100 AARP Rewards members (50 U.S. (D.C.) each week day (Monday through Friday) while supplies last.

You'll need to be lightning quick to obtain them and at my age, I've been taking the slow route.

I have over 10,000 aarp reward points. Doesn't seem much there worth redeeming for. Is there a way to use those points to somehow get Disney GC?

If you are near one of the grocery stores that allow you to purchase GC with GC, there are some grocery store GCs that you can get with aarp points. I'm not sure which grocery store allows it since none near me do, but I have read others post about it.

Hmm, a quick search led me to this:
You used to be able to take all of those eBay GC's with small residual balances, combine them, & purchase a single larger eBay GC. This stopped spring / summer 2016. We can no longer use eBay GC's to purchase another eBay GC. Link

Unfortunately, you can't. According to the ebay terms and conditions, you can only redeem a maximum of four gift cards per transaction, up to $1000 per day, and up to $1500 per calendar month. Ebay also ties your gift card to your ebay account after your first use so it can't be used after that on any other ebay account (Amazon does the same thing). Ebay says it is a "security feature" but we all know it is just a way to make the card less transferable and increase the chances that you won't actually use it and increase ebay or Amazon's profit margin.

Interestingly, an article from firstquarterfinance from June 2020 claims that an ebay spokesperson told them you can use as many gift cards as you want per transaction. I have linked the article below; however, this is contradicted by the terms on the ebay website and by my personal experience from the past 10 years.

Is gift card deal a valid place to get Disney gift cards? They have them at 15% and 20% off, but that seems like too much off. Does it work?

I have gotten one of the 1050 from there. They break it up and it is actually two for 525. One arrived correct and one was missing money - I could see the transactions and it actually looked like they had loaded the money and then someone used it afterwards before I accessed it. I was nervous I was out the money, but contacted them and they made it right and gave me an additional small gift card for the inconvenience. However, because of the issue I couldn’t use either card until resolved and I needed them that day to pay off a trip. I wouldn’t advise using them for last minute savings and I’d assume it will take longer to receive than whatever time is posted. Also, the savings is a little inflated as there are additional fees at check out, depending on your payment method.
All that said, I plan to try them out again, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend them to friends or family due to the potential risk of losing the money and the length of time it takes to receive.

I’ve had them delivered within a few minutes to a couple of hours. You can enter the code on the Disney gift card site to add it to your plastic card.
