Hey, for anyone who may have Fedex Rewards for a business acct. They recently added Disney gift cards to their rewards! My DH has a business account that he lets me use those rewards for whatever I can find use for. I was pretty excited today when I did a gift card search and saw Mickey

Depending on the State they may have to. Some States have consumer laws that state if a product is listed for a certain price, such as on a tag on the product or a sign in the store, the store has to honor that price. Prices in a flyer don't always have to be honored as there is usually a disclaimer.

Some stores have lobbied (successfully in some states) not to have prices on each item and only say under the product on the shelf. Some of that is in hopes that if there is a pricing error in the stores favor the consumer forgets what the price was and pays the higher price. The stores lobby for it under the guise of saving money on labor. I think some warehouse stores like BJ's etc in some states are exempt from this policy.

The only thing is stores do have a right to limit the amount of an item they will sell to you (you will see in almost every ad they say we have the right to limit the number of items...). So while they might be required to honor the price, they can limit you to buying 3 or 4 (that seems to be the limit that most stores use when they want to limit an item.)

It is unbelievable the difference in buying a gift card at Walmart vs. other stores. In Walmart I can buy a $500 visa gift card at the self checkout. At Stop & Shop, I had to go to a cashier and they made me show ID and had to wait for the manager to do an override for a $500 visa gift card.

Maybe the difference between stop & shop and other stores is what’s unbelievable. I do gift cards at Kroger in self check out all the time. As long as the card has a chip, there is no issue.

I don't have a Kroger near me (I live in the Northeast), so I have no idea if they would allow you to buy such a large amount gift card at self checkout. I do know all the grocery stores here (Stop & Shop, ShopRite, Acme) don't allow it.

So true, much of what we do is different depending on your region. I’ve been using my newish freedom card for $500 vgc in the self checkout at Kroger on the regular. Easy and profitable.

Yes, I love this deal. Since you can use your Chase UR's to pay yourself back at the grocery store I get a lot of bang for my buck with this deal.
