The only thing keeping me on the edge of my seat is a recent deal posted on Slickdeals and Doc of Credit - did anyone else do this?

Lowe’s sold AeroGarden Hydroponic Systems for dirt cheap. Crazy great deal that I hope goes through. I bought two. What's weird is my military discount was applied to only one order.

I also received a notice from RMN, but the $100 purchase is throwing me off. Two purchases: $49.82 & $55.35 subtotal = $105.17 does not equal $100 :confused3 This is the only purchase I made at Lowe's in a year.

After I made my second purchase, everything was OOS then became available again and then back to full price. A few have had their orders cancelled but I'm hopeful. It's decaf baby, decaf coffee all the way! We'll until I hear otherwise.
I also purchased two, but I was in such a hurry to purchase that I didn't go through a portal. I've still got my fingers crossed that my orders will arrive today. No cancellation is good news, right. By the way, I purchased one Bounty and one Bounty Elite. I really would have been tempted by the Farm 2XL if it had still been in stock, but I have no idea what I would have done with it.

DH had issues booking four round trip tickets with Delta last fall when using a round trip certificate reward and a $250 Delta gift card. The system kept deleting our information; name, TSA #, Delta # etc. 3am tired & frustrated, he booked 2 rt tickets for himself & DS and applied the reward. Then booked rt tickets for me & Dan the Man with GC. Two transactions, paying the remaining with his Delta cc.

After we got back from our trip, DH noticed multiple $30 charges from Delta. DH was charged $30 for each leg of the trip for checked luggage, $120 for me & Dan the Man. Which was eventually removed after several attempts.
The other concerning issue was during cancellations and delays. Dan & I would be the last to be notified by a day or two.

I'm not sure why it was so difficult to book Delta flights using a certificate, gift card and credit card, but for DH it simply would not go through.

Only problem with the Sam's / CashApp is online they only offer a $50 or $500 virtual card... and there is a limit of two. The $500 doesn't really work fully as it's a $20 max discount per purchase.

Hey but the do have limited time Starbuck gift cards that are 10% off, and with the CashApp that will be 20% off.... Starbucks discount is almost as rare as Disney ones.

$200 VV at Sam's Club

I did two $50 Disney e-cards and two $50 physical cards. They were shipped and are arriving today.

However, I know that My Points has a 1 point per dollar from them and that was bumped up to 2 points per dollar during one of their sales last year. So if you bought the max of $750, you got 1,500 which is equal to $10 towards a Virtual Visa plus the 1% general reward amount from the credit card. Every little bit helps!

Okay, let's work this out, and just to be clear, I'm not picking on you or calling you out - we're all trying to save here and I agree with you, every little bit helps.

save 5% on $750 VV, make $19.65 profit

$19.65 profit vs Target $37.50 off

Let's add all your earnings; $19.65 profit + $10 (MyPoints VV) + $7.50 (1% cc) = $37.15 Target is $37.50 and that doesn't include any cb site.

All I'm saying is I'd hold out for a 10% discount. That's all.
Kroger Online had 5% off on Visa/MC, $0.50 shipping fees applied and I think you earned 2x fuel points? Idk. I passed on that too because I knew a better offer was coming. It's like clock work. And for those who wait the last minute or have pop up vacations, you'll still save but maybe not as much.
By the way, what cc did you earn 1% on at giftcards .com?

Here's the crazy part, we're comparing VV to DGC.
Now when you use those 5% discounted VV to buy DGC, the numbers change but by how much?

During the July sale, I earned 2% with Swagbucks and also 2% with my Citi Double Cash card. I agree with waiting for something better than 5%, need something to eat up the fee.

I used the cards to buy DGC where I could take advantage of a cb portal.

Did you just do it ones, or did you do it again on a different day. Wondering if it a daily or every 24 hrs like best buy was.

I should say, personally I'd pass on 5%

You can save 5% on up to three $250 virtual Visa gift cards which more than offsets the purchase fees. You’ll be getting $750 worth of virtual Visa gift cards at a net cost of $730.35, so you’ll make $19.65 profit even before credit card rewards and shopping portal earnings.

And if you were to buy $750 DGC at Target with your Redcard you would automatically save $37.50

$19.65 profit vs $37.50 off - just saying, there are better ways to spend your money.

giftcards. com is owned and operated by Blackhawk Network, I don't think anyone earns credit card points nor cb on cc.
I think there’s also a Citi Offer for GiftCards.com, although I’ve seen people report that it doesn’t credit correctly.
Just an FYI - Rakuten commonly has cash back at giftcards.com (usually just 1%, but better than nothing!), and it has paid out for me when buying VV at giftcards.com.

also, most credit cards will give you points on any kind of spend. I typically use my Chase Freedom Unlimited at giftcards.com, which gives me 1.5 points per dollar on all spend.

not disputing your conclusion as to which is a better deal, but just thought I’d throw those couple of points into the mix.

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I'm hoping to see 10% at giftcards. com

Yep, 7/02/21 I used Rakuten as well.

Sorry about that, I'm referring to giftcards. com, I do not have an account with them, did anyone create one? Are you earning rewards?

Just found out a VGC bought from Sam's was cleaned out yesterday. I called Vanilla Gift and they said I had to fill out a form and it would take 45-90 days for them to investigate.

That's terrible, sorry for your troubles. Physical gc you bought in-store or online?
I wonder what your credit card company would say.

As the electrical car industry grows, I wonder if Kroger's/Harris Teeter will offer $ on groceries for every 100 in fuel points.
