Updated Disney Gift Card Deals and More

This deal is so geographically limited that I hesitated to post about it, but in case anyone else can use it now (or in case they spread to more locations in the near future), I thought I'd go ahead and share.

For those who shop at Whole Foods, they are gradually rolling out a system to pay in-store using a QR code . . . that's hooked to your Amazon account . . . and with which you can pay with Amazon GCs loaded to your Amazon account.

So my Harris Teeter currently has 4x fuel points for GCs. I bought 2 $500 Amazon GCs, netting me 4000 fuel points, or $1 off 4 tanks of gas (roughly $80 off, even without any multi-car hassle at the pumps). Oh, and Chase Freedom Flex has grocery stores as their quarterly bonus category, so I also got 5x Chase Ultimate Rewards points on that purchase.

I load the Amazon GCs into my Amazon account, and now I can essentially get 5x (plus the additional value of fuel points) at Whole Foods through my Amazon app even after this quarter is over.

Like I said, it's super geographically limited right now - I'm lucky to be in one of the markets. Hopefully they'll roll it out more widely soon. Here's the list of stores that currently participate:

Harris Teeter is offering 4x fuel points for gift cards including the Disney Gift cards...I can see the Disney card in the photo on the email I received this morning with sir weekend specials...I think this deal is only for today through Sunday.

PSA for those who buy Disney GC's at Sam's Club and my apologies if this has already been mentioned in this thread. Anyway, I bought some today for an upcoming trip. They had the $500 cards for $485 (as always) but what I found interesting is they also had $200 cards for $192. So it's actually a better deal (4% vs 3%) to buy the $200 cards. I know neither is a good deal compared to other opportunities out there but I still found this.. odd.
I also found this odd. The $50 card is the best Sam's offers @ 4.04% off for $47.98 however they only offer it online.
The $75 total, 3 $25 card pack is the best you can buy in store @ 4.03% off for $71.98.
This of course is very tedious task of combining them at disneygiftcard.com lol.
Also I made the mistake of thinking I would get an extra 3% off paying with my Sam's Mastercard as I am Plus member.
Turned out I received 0% back not even the standard 1%

IMO only reason to have the Sam's Card is the 5% back for gas.

So no cash back on gc using sams Mastercard? I was going to buy southwest gc from sams. Guess I’d be better off using a different card

I find it strange that the one Austin store is in Bee Cave? Like, not the flagship store downtown or Domain? So odd. I wonder how they picked.

One other way to use Amazon GCs to pay for Whole Foods is to order online (for pickup curbside at the store or for delivery) through Amazon.

Oh, we thought we would get the 1% cash back for the MC as well, dang. Did get $200 gift cards at $191.98 though so still worth the effort.

While shopping at Whole Foods, I purchase a Whole Foods gc on Amazon for the amount of my purchase or my Amazon account balance (as long as the amount is $25 plus) and have the cashier scan the Whole Foods gc. It does sometimes take up to 5 minutes to process, but I've never been in line for less than 10 minutes.
Amazon does state on some gc's that you cannot purchase them with your Amazon gc balance, however, since Amazon purchased Whole Foods, I have been able to purchase a Whole Foods gc of $25 plus using my Amazon gc balance.

A little back track down memory lane..
We're pretty much set for our ski trip and cannot wait to hit the slopes! Instead of boarding the pups, they'll be coming with us! I'll be off the boards tomorrow 12/29 thru 1/06/22. I'm wishing you & yours a very happy new year!
Where are you going? My DD is working Steamboat Springs, CO for the season as a Ski Bum.

We were set to start our ski trip on Dec. 29th at Caberfae Peaks in Cadillac MI, however plans changed when we started feeling sick.
Through contact tracing, DH & DS along with ten other choir members were infected during choir rehearsal on Christmas evening prior to Christmas midnight mass by a female member but she's not the only person responsible for the spread.

Who's at fault here - rhetorical question.
Church choir with masks on have been in play since August 2021 without incident. Then during rehearsal on Christmas night, the choir director tells everyone they can remove their masks while singing, citing proper ventilation, members were spread out enough and they had to put them back on while sitting. Unbelievably they removed their masks including my son and husband who knew better. The female left shortly after rehearsal, everyone else stayed there until mass was over.

I started feeling off on Dec 28th and by morning I was hit hard: head pain but not like a typical headache if that makes sense, post nasal drip, sore throat, dry cough, sinus headaches, congestion, fever and fatigue. Not happy!
We managed to get refunds on everything except our dated lift tickets, which by the way cost more than the resort and rt gas.

My rapid test results: 1st Test Jan 1 / 2nd Test Jan 4

DS is good to go. DH has taken 2 PCR tests for work both positive. Dec 2nd, I couldn't taste or smell anything, still ongoing too. What a mess! Both DS & DH got an ear full from me for taking off their masks, yeah, still not happy.

It was mentioned a while ago but I did not see it in the front posts so I thought I would mention again.

Venmo has had a Giant Eagle $10 back on $40 purchase. There is no mention of limits other than the promotion must be active on your account and to check before scanning the QR code (I use the option to open the QR code from the promotion). So far I have done the last 6 days with each tracking.

In addition, the CSP tracks the purchase as online groceries which pays at 3X rewards. Total discount ends up at 28.75%.

Thanks for ths. I have managed to do this numerous times over the past several days. (Found out the hard way that you can't do it more than 3 times in a row and that it seems to be limited to 5 times per day in total.) Still showing as valid in my offers and all of my transactions are listed in my history showing Venmo offers. How long does the $10 in the transactions take to post to your account? i did this for the first time last Friday.

Oh no! I am so sorry! I had covid in November from a wedding. Everyone was vaxxed and tested and 7 people still got sick from an asymptomatic carrier who tested negative on a home test 2 days before the wedding. I had ALL the symptoms except low oxygen levels (thank goodness) and I still have tinnitus in my right ear from fluid in my ear (I'm seeing an ENT in a couple of weeks). My sense of smell came back pretty quickly but my DH's is taking longer. His other symptoms were not as bad as mine and he worked remotely through his illness.

I think it's human nature to find blame but the Omicron variant is sooooo transmissible that everyone may have gotten sick anyway even though they were vaxxed and had cloth masks on. I know a number of people who have fallen victim to covid in those exact circumstances where they only time they left the house was to go to the grocery store and they wore a mask. Thank goodness this variant seems to be milder, especially for people who are vaccinated. I hope that you are feeling better by now.

Will the ski resort allow you to use the lift tickets at another time? Or are you just out the money?

It has taken 3 days typically. Though like you I ended up trying more than once on Friday and timing seems like it make be off now. All of my transactions show eligible but the first day I did more than one transaction I did not get multiple rewards. Will wait and see.

Thanks buddy and thanks everyone for your well wishes.
No, unfortunately we're out of the money. DS has mid winter break in February, switching dates would have been ideal but they were not willing to work with us. I even offered to pay more for the difference as well as take a loss but they just wouldn't budge.
