Keep in mind even if no 1099 form is sent out, you are still required to pay taxes and self report." You knew this right, @afan? And here's something to keep in mind for 2021, this month is not over and more likely we'll see additional information, comments and posts as mail carriers and institutions are heavily back logged.

Yes but it's talking about interest and bank account bonuses. What doc posted earlier was someone getting one for a credit card sign up bonus that bofa valued at 600. Sign up bonuses for cresit cards have always been seen as a rebate because you have to spend to get it. Vs referrals which will also generate one because you don't do anything to earn it.

Also my credit union always does a 1099int and my interest is always under 600 so many may get them anyway.

Chase Credit Cards: Cash Advance Category
Chase sent out an email blast today on both consumer and business credit cards indicating that beginning in April they’ll broaden the cash advance category to include many ‘cash-like transactions’. These transactions would incur a cash advance fee, and won’t earn credit card rewards. DOC also adds in the comment section, "...we’ll have to wait and see how it pans out."

Well that's disappointing. I've also noticed that Michael's hasn't had a 40% coupon in quite a while.

I believe you have to sign up for emails to get them. It was nice having additional coupons (Hobby Lobby & Michaels) to use at Joann Fabrics when I was sewing costumes. The little stuff adds up.

Thanks! I followed the instructions you linked & went the MyPoints route. Between MyPoints, Chase offers, Dosh, and Google Pay, it would be a moneymaker of ~$20. It would also be nice to have Walmart+ free for a year - their $35 minimum is frustrating.

We’ll see if they all come through!

I have a RMN DP for you...

I used the RetailMeNot app and went through BestBuy for the 3% cash back. It does say that the offer EXCLUDES gift cards, but since I was only buying a $25 card, I wasn't too worried about it if it didn't credit. I added a $25 digital Disney gift card to my card and checked out USING PAYPAL. The reason I did this is because I was able to use the $25 Virtual Visa that I had redeemed from Swagbucks earlier in the month (so...Free Money!). First, the transaction was successful. I had the gift card within an hour and I was able to transfer it to my physical gift card using the DisneyGiftCard website (*I know that is set to change soon*) Second, I received notice a few days later that my purchase DID track through RMN and it shows the $0.75 as "pending" in my account. It will not be payable until 3/11/2021 so I will update then if it actually goes through, but so far, so good.

I used to have 100% success using this method to convert my Virtual Visas from Swagbucks to Disney gift cards while still earning a rebate by going through RMN using ShopDisney, but I have not seen any cashback offered from ShopDisney in several weeks. Now that I know that BestBuy works, I will probably switch over to them. I can also purchase physical gift cards and pick them up in the store or get them shipped for free. Even at a measly 3%, it's still something, especially considering that it's money earned on money that was "free" to begin with.

I am considering using Chase Pay Yourself Back to purchase Disney gift cards at Lowe's at 1.5 cents per UR with my CSR. I thought I'd check here first to make sure that no one has run into problems doing this. I'll also check on the I love credit cards thread.
