The saga continues.... The dispute process with Macy's is rough. Still haven't gotten responses to the email submitted information and customer service won't even give me a case number to track anything. I get the sense that Safeway would fix it if I had proof of denial from Macy's but Macy's won't approve or deny...Not resolved yet, but going at it from all angles. Purchased from Safeway when they had their big 10x points offer. In a fun little twist, I ended up with 2 cards from different Safeways. The one that had that I had to purchase from the Customer Service counter was the one that got scammed.
Logged it with Macy's as soon as I saw it since the majority of the value was still there and if I could get them to transfer the balance to a different number I would have just let it go since the deal was killer and I still would have come out ahead. Now the card has been fully drained. Haven't gotten an approval/denial yet.
Reaching out to Safeway, actually got to Customer Service pretty quickly and they were kind and issued a ticket number. But they won't do anything until I have proof of a denial from Macy's.
I'm just mostly sad because I want my plate/bowls
