I just received my first DGC from Staples, it took for ever. RMN did not track for me, though. I put it on an INK card which added 5x points tot he 10% off Chase offer so it was still good. I have others on non-INK cards, though, and won't try them since RMN didn't track.

I keep going back and forth on taking a chance with trying to chase offer at Staples.com for gift cards - did your 10% hit your chase card? I also saw the 1.99 secure shipping fee- is that new? I feel like I've bought them there before and that wasn't a thing.
I did hit my dollar general for a gift card for 10% back from chase today too though!

Yeah, Chase is good for it. It's the shopping portals that are very YMMV. The $1.99 isn't new

Just a heads up before someone else makes a special trip out, but ran into BJ’s this morning to grab a few gift cards as I have a $20 off $150 coupon too. However due to the worldwide system outage, they can’t sell gift cards because they can’t be activated.

It was working yesterday intermittently. Luckily, I happened to be there while it was working. But the same employee recognized me from the day before and told me it had been working on and off and he was told it might continue like that until Monday.

Had a weird experience yesterday using a Disney Gift Card to pay for dinner.

I was at Akershus Princess Storybook dining at Epcot and we split the bill with my brother. We both paid by Disney Gift Card.

The 2 gift cards had different pictures, and I told her which one was mine and to charge 4 people to my card and the remaining 3 people to the other card. You pay per person there because it is a family style meal.

When she rang everything up, she said I did not have enough money on my gift card - which was weird because I knew that card had enough on it, but I gave her another card. Then they told my brother that his card did not work, so they had to pay by credit card.

When I got the check to sign, I did not get my original gift card back - I had to ask for it back - which I did get back, but I thought it was weird that she didn't give it back to me.

Then I checked the value of the card she told me was empty and it still had over $500 on it!!!!!!

I don't know if this was a scam and she was planning to keep that $500 gift card or not. I want to think the best of people and maybe she simply scanned the same gift card twice (my brother's card had $200 on it and they took $200 off of my check). But she confirmed 2 times which card was mine and which was my brothers.

To be safe, I transferred the value of all cards that she touched off to a different card.

Thankfully I have all the numbers written down (in a password vault app) for any cards I use, so if I did leave without that card and it was an honest mistake, I could still transfer it off to another card.

But still highly suspicious to me. Be careful out there!

I would like to think the best of people too but I never hand over a GC with $$$ on it. It just takes that one person . Were you staying on property? I always just charge back to my room and then pay down the room balance with my GCs. Glad you were able to get your GC back and transfer the funds to a new card.

Not staying on property, so no way to really use the DGC without handing it over for a sit down dinner.

I checked the Chase bonus a few days ago and I had it on my Disney Visa - 5% off for gas, restaurants, and grocery stores for the quarter.
