Thanks for the confirmation! I wish they would get their stuff together and change it. Like you said, same app! Even the CM when I was checking in wished they could scan lol! It would save so much time and anxiety in the morning

Whenever I’m on vacation, I’ll type the GC number into my notepad app on travel day so it’s ready for a quick copy/paste anytime I need it in the app. It makes things a little smoother and takes a bit of the stress out of it.

@Psychodisney

Typically Target offers like 5% or 10% Off Total Purchase and $15 Off when you spend $100, do not work on any gift card including prepaid. There have been on occasions where Peeps were able to buy gift cards with these offers through a glitch but once Target realizes what's going on, the glitch is fixed within hours.

The only Target offer that does work on gift cards are Circle Rewards as seen below:

1717431105835.png

We have also seen Target Circle 360 Rewards in two variations; similar to the image above but should you see Delivery - that's the only time it will not work on any gift card.

Hope this clears things up for you.

@kylenne, yes you should get an additional 5% off when using your Redcard.

Lastly, be sure to read the terms, items shipped & sold by Target will earn rewards, others might not.

My Chase and Amex offers have been really sad. This is the only offer I clipped. Wish they were based on places where you shop rather than these random places I've never heard of or plan to do business with. It's such a waste.

Kroger Chase Offer: Offers vary
Earn 5% cash back, $4.50 cb max.
Expires 7/04/2024.

Something I have found helpful is I leave 2-3 old blank gift cards in my Disney gift card account. Then I take a picture of my current gift cards I am taking. That way if something happens, I can transfer the balance to an old safe gift card on the fly.

Has anyone seen any gift card deals for AT&T prepaid gift cards? My annual plan is up for renewal. I know I can get the gift cards 5% off at Target. Just wondering if there is a better deal somewhere.

Sigh. This is what I was afraid of. Last week I had no time for anything that wasn't job-related. Checking for a deal completely slipped my mind. I'll checkmy credit cards, even though I usually don't get the good deals. Thank you!

Last week, I was able to purchase two $35 ATT prepaid gift cards from Target, getting 10% off one of them and also getting a $10 Target Circle bonus for spending $35.

Usually, Target offers the buy one and get 10% off ATT (which really only comes out to 5% off) once every month or two. But they also offer $5 off a $50 ATT gift card around every 2 months, which is actually better since that is 10% off (besides the 5% redcard discount). That offer last was on April 28, so they probably will have that offer again at the end of June if you can wait that long.

For reference (taken from gcgalore), here are the dates in the past (before April 28) that target offered the $5 off $50 on prepaid phone cards:

  • February 25-March 2, 2024
  • December 17-24, 2023
  • October 22-28, 2023
  • August 20-26, 2023
  • June 25-July 1, 2023
  • May 6, 2023
  • February 26-March 4, 2023
  • January 22-28, 2023
So as you can see, it will probably be coming back again towards the end of June.

The other thing to be careful of is some stores charge sales tax on prepaid phone cards. Target does not, but I have had that issue with Dollar General and Kroger in the past.

Totally off topic, did you contact Mears about your refund, how did that go?

Thank you for these details! I'll definitely save this info for later. Unfortunately, my plan renewed today so I couldn't wait. I got the gift card from Target and went through RMN, so I should get a little extra on top of the 5%, so that's something at least.

Next year, I need to start tracking Target around Feb-March. The gift cards expire after 90 days, right?
