Updated 9/6**I must be crazy cause I took 5 kids to WDW alone! -

Oh my goodness, the story about Omicron taking each and every item out of his bad and talking about it soooo sounds like my 12 year old son. If there's an ear to listen, he'll talk into it and it seems like it always happens when we are in a hurry.

 He does keep me laughing. Though most of the time I can only laugh about it afterwards.

I totally understand. You should come over to my trip report. We had a whole lotta mishaps which are now funny but not when they were happening. Let me name just a few of the mishaps....we got stuck on a ride, a tooth fell out, had a drive by scooter incident and more! I laugh now but I sure didn't feel like laughing when all the stuff was going on.

Rope drop at AK can be a scary thing. That's why we usually try and get breakfast ressies for early!

Jimmy was too short for PW last year, I am really hoping he makes the requirement this year.

We actually had breakfast ressie at Tusker for 8AM. But when we cancelled our trip and then rebooked we couldn't get the ressies back. I'm still a little  at DH about that.

Sorry I haven't been here in a while!

The pool and stuff looks great at your villa and your DQ trip sounded a success, how cool that Tau got to do the Aladdin ride and so sweet that that little girl adopted your family!

I read the other day, Deb, but didn't have time to comment. Just letting you know I'm still here. ;)

Whew! All caught up... Let me tell you, they would have had to cart me off to the looney bin by now. You are super woman!

8:09 AM Enter AK parking lot (yea that's right 6 minutes )

Nice! :thumbsup2

We park and walk to the gate. It take about 5 minutes to get through security. Nope, not because there was a line but because Omicron had to take every stinking thing out of his bag to show to the security officer and tell him what everything was, how much it cost, where he bought it, and why he was bringing it into the park. Luckily there wasn't anyone behind us.

Aww, he's so cute! pirate:

I wonder if I am the only parent who drags their kids to a DW park?

Happens to everyone at some point, I would think

Once she was done I called the kids to me and 3 came. Omicron was still asking questions.

Yep, Omicron and Tigger would get along just fine - of course, they'd never stop talking, but they'd get along just fine :rotfl2:

However, we were still lucky to land beside an empty bench. The kids were able to stand on the bench to get a clear view of the characters during the opening ceremonies so I guess it worked out.

:goodvibes

As soon as the rope dropped we split up. I took tau and Delta to get us FP for EE and my SIL and niece took the big 3 on Dinosaur. We met back up in Dinoland. They wanted to ride Primevil Whirl so I told my SIL and niece to take them on again while I took the little ones on Triceratops Spin. However, when they got up there Omicron wasn't quite tall enough so they sent him over to me. He was extremely disappointed. But that wasn't my biggest worry at the time. He had his heart set out on riding RNRC and they both had the same height requirement. So I knew that an even bigger disappointment would come at the end of the week.

 in advance of the RnRC disappointment to come

We walked back to PW and heard someone calling my name...

Who? Who? Who?! :confused3popcorn::

Wow, six minutes to AK. That's sweet!! I can't believe how crowded it was at rope drop!

Just wondering how much laundry help you've gotten since you got home.;)

I know the height restriction are going to cause a lot of disappointment for my grandson during our September trip. He is only about 38" tall.
Looking forward to more!!

It's ok Jo, just stop by when you can :goodvibes The pool was great. It was never crowded and they had several activities scattered throughout the day. We had a lot of fun there.

Thanks CE.

Glad you are caught up! I need to get caught up on my reading too. DH rescued me just before I went off the deep end

Nice! :thumbsup2

Unfortunately the novelty of doing laundry at home wasn't the same as doing it on vacation :confused3

How old is your grandson? My best advice would be to steer away from things you know he can't ride but would want to. If you are splitting up, Always find a play spot for him before the grown-ups go on the bigger rides. Pressed penney machines have also been used to keep younger ones occupied (and they are relatively cheap too). And if all else fails....Mickey bars. :mickeybar

I'm a day late and a dollar short, as always.

Having a blast sitting here reading your TR, pretending to be working.

And I will admit, I was silently chanting "one more chapter, come on, let there be one more chapter. I have to get to the bottom of this clif-hanger."

Oh well, I guess there is something to look forward to. Make me actually want to come to work tomorrow.

Great report so far. I am scared just taking my 2 kids alone this year! Can't imagine it with 5

Just in time for an update.

Animal Kingdom Part 2
OK so where were we. Waiting on My SIL, Niece, Chi, and Alpha to finish Primeval Whirl... heard someone calling my name...Oh yes, I looked up in the sky and saw a sky writer. He was writing "U + God =" Something and "Jesus Loves You" I think.

100_1609-1.jpg

Then I heard someone calling my name again. Everytime we looked we didn't see anyone. Finally I saw that it was Nathan with his three kids on Triceratops spin. Apparently he was calling my name when he was on our side but when I would look up they had already circled around. They got off and he told me that his wife was in the room sick  so he took the kids to let her rest :littleangel:

About that time the rest of the gang finished PW and we headed towards Kali River Rapids together. Nathan stopped on the way to get them some FP for Everest so we could ride together later that day.

My SIL and niece passed on riding KRR since they would be flying home that afternoon and didn't want to chance getting wet. So they watched Tau for us while we rode. We walked right on :thumbsup2

After KRR we had to take a potty break. I thought I was getting a great deal since Nathan would have to take my three boys plus his two and I only had to take Chi, Tau and his daughter.

After we were outside Nathan and I were trying to decide where to go next when Clare announced that she saw a hidden mickey in the bathroom.

"Where?" I asked because I was sure I didnt' see one.

"In the toilet! I made one with my poo!"

Suddenly the boys were intrigued and they all wanted to go in to see the hidden mickey that Clare had made.

We called my SIL and they were on the Jungle Trek. We walked through and tried to catch up with them. We were walking briskly with me hurrying the kids along until we came to the bats and I stopped dead in my tracks.

And that is when it hit me.

Last year I read a thread here on the dis where people were posting pics that were weird or strange things they saw in the parks. However, when I got to the thread it had already been closed because of some bat pictures, but they removed the pictures of the bats. I never knew what they were talking about until this day. Let's just say the male bats were...um...sunbathing...and they were....um very confident with themselves.

So after I quit laughing...we finally caught up to my SIL and DN at the end of the trek. We were all hungry and trying to figure out where to eat. I have very picky eaters and I knew the only place that would make everyone happy was Restaurantosaurus which was unfortunately on the opposite side of the park. But everyone agreed to walk that long trek for lunch.

We finally made it to the Restaurantosaurus and I wished I didn't have such picky eaters.

We took another potty break and when the girls and I were walking out his daughter, Clare was right behind me. Or so I thought. However when we got outside I realized that she wasn't behind me so I went back in to find Clare doing jump-in-jacks. I said "Sweetie, what are you doing?"

"Jump-in-Jacks" said Clare. (well duh!)

"Clare you can do those anywhere let's go!"

wow. "happy" bats, HM poo. thats classic stuff. :lmao:
:rotfl2: We still kid around about Clara's Hidden Mickey. I bet Steve B. doesn't have that one in his book :rotfl2:

:rotfl: I am terrified of bats but that image has me in hysterics. :lmao:
:rotfl2: It was quite a sight. I was just trying to keep the kids from looking and asking questions. I was too busy giggling to answer.

Jumping Jack huh. I have got to hear...why!!!!!!!
She didn't say why. That is just Clara  She was on her way out and decided she needed to do some jumpin jacks. She also talks to other Clara's in the mirror. And if you answer her she will tell you "I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to my Clara's." Poor girl, she just lives in her own little Clara world! She did keep me laughing that day though!
