Updated 9/6**I must be crazy cause I took 5 kids to WDW alone! -

Hello, everyone. It was a fast and serious week while kiddies were out for Fall Break, last week. Poor Alpha had been sick:sick: with a mild case of the swine flu. Then, he started having severe stomach cramps and queasy stomach after the flu bug was gone. That Friday, Dad took him to his pediatrician, who discovered he was dehydrated. So, that was an overnighter at the local hospital for observation and fluids, diagnosis, probably picked up extra stomach bug. Saturday he went home. He was still very uncomfortable the rest of the weekend. Then the upchucking started. On Monday, his pediatrician sent him over to Birmingham to Children's Hospital. Those are two words that can strike terror in any parent or grandparents heart.. He had a bombardment of tests run, including an MRI, where he was getting sick inside the tunnel. Fortunately(?) one of the staff saw it coming and they pulled him out in time to get him a pan. The scopic light was run to check for everything. And of course, all kinds of blood work was done. While all these tests were being run, nothing was showing up, but they were also able to eliminate things as they went. Finally, Thursday evening, he was able to eat and drink something. By then, they were back to the original diagnosis, of the extra stomach bug. He came home Friday morning, and has been slowly, but steadily improving. We were all just so thankful that all of the things he was being tested for, like ulcers, gall stones, etc. were showing as negative. Maybe things can start to be a little back to the normal(what is that?) stages. See all of you again soon, I hope.:surfweb:

Well, well, here we go again:sick:. Good morning everyone. Alpha pirate: had the swine flu, then wound up in the hospital, and even though we thought he was getting better,:yay:, it turns out he might not be. It seems as though some side effects to this flu includes possible inflamation of the joints, bones, and muscles, which is what seems to be hitting him now. A few days ago, DD's :laundy: DH :artist: started with the cough...cough, snif, achoo, snif, sniffle....COUGH. He has been kinda miserable, you know what I mean? Then, last night, Baby Ty :littleangel: started with a fever, and aching all over.It probably won't stop until it goes through the other 3 kids, Chi princess:, Omicron :happytv: and Delta :charac4:, then finally, DD :laundy:. Please place them all on your prayer lists. Thanks bunches. Bye, ya'll pixiedust::wave:

Has everyone left at the same time? Is anyone here-ere-ere-ere? That is definitely an echo-o-o-o going thru the air, because it is empty-y-y-y.

We are here. Hope the kiddos are all on the mend. Deb updated us over the weekend on the TFW thread that she posts on too:thumbsup2

Lots of good vibes headed your way so things get better:goodvibes

Well, we did it, and enjoyed ourselves, too :yay:. Although I must admit, by late Saturday afternoon, DD :laundy: was beginning to suffer some withdrawal pains :sad1: missing the kids. We flew down :scared1:on Thursday, the 3rd, and stayed until Sunday, the 6th, and flew back. We stayed at All Star Movies, and had free dining. We rode the Magical :wizard: Express from the airport, then Disney Transport to the parks. On Thursday, we just went to DTD, and I got my first official Christmas tree ornament :woohoo:. Does this mean I have to dig out my tree :confused3:rolleyes1 ? On Friday morning, we hopped the monorail to other resorts. At the Grand Floridian, there was a huge crowd, so we scoped it out to see "What is going on :confused3 ?" As it turned out, someone was there taping a Christmas music video, and, are you ready for this ?!?, it was CELINE DION!!!!!!! Then we went over to the Polynesian Resort for an early dinner at the Aloha. The food was absolutely scrumptious. Friday afternoon, we went to MK to MVMCP :santa:, watched all the awesome fireworks, and partied until about 10:30 or so. On Saturday morning we went to Epcot, stayed there all day, rode Soarin, and visited all the different countries. In Canada, there was a group, Off Kilter, I tell you, these guys were absolutely terrific. Dressed in Kilts, there were 7 of them. Keyboard, drums, guitars, and 1 bagpipe. We made about 300 photos, but I haven't had them developed yet. In Japan, DD :laundy: got an oyster that contained a beautiful bluish-tinted pearl, for her DD, my DGD, Chi princess:. They are going together to have it mounted for a necklace or ring. That day, we had an early dinner at Nine Seasons in China. We were close to the front for the Candle Light procession and Christmas songs, with the Disney Philharmonic Orchestra, and their robed choir. Steven Curtis Chapman read the scripture of the birth of Christ, and there was a sign interpreter that was really into the telling of the scriptures, and the songs. She just amazed me with her enthusiasm for what she was doing. Can hardly wait until next trip ! I've gotta go for right now. I'll get DD :laundy: to start a new thread for this one, and we will post photos of this trip. Bye - bye, ya'll,:wave:pixiedust:. See you next time:surfweb:.
