I had my septorhinoplasty on Monday. Today was the first day without the drip pads. The drainage from my nose has stopped and I feel pretty good. I will be getting the plastic stents taken out of my nostrils on Monday. Then the cast comes off next Friday.

I just looked up what that is, and OWIE, are you in any pain?????

I was in a lot of pain the first three days. Yesterday I was ok but today I was better. I think I will be feel better when I get the plastic splints taken out on Monday.

I'm sure they mentioned this (maybe not) but my doctor recommended I should have a light breakfast before I got the splints taken out.

I've had numerous procedures done on my nose and this one was the last and very successful. It's been over three years now and my breathing is almost the same as after the swelling went down.

I don't think you mentioned it but thanks for the advice on the breakfast. My appointment is scheduled at 11 am and I don't eat a lot for breakfast. I'm hoping this surgery will be sucessful before I undergo the surgery on my throat and tongue in May.

Never had anything done on my tongue, but my first surgery on my nose they also took out my tonsils and part of my soft pallet and uvula. Immediately after I was laying in the recovery room with my nose stuffed with gauze and even with my nose packed, I still could breath better thru my nose and throat than I could ever remember.
