Can anyone tell me who has been there the past few days? is the Fast pass line still 30-45 minutes every morning??

We were in line on Tuesday, June 26, at 7:40. The line opened at 8:00 and we had fast passes by 8:20. Return time of 1:00.

On Wednesday, June 27, we were in line at 7:45. Line opened at 8:00 and we had fast passes by 9:00. Some of the machines were down. Return time of 3:00.

I am still trying to get a handle on how much of EMH to use for RSR FPs. I have gathered that it is best to get in the FP line by 7:45AM. Is it the same physical FP line as the non-EMH guests - in other words, are you mixed in with them? Or do the EMH folks get a different FP line that goes in front of the non-EMH people?

This does not really answer your question but We had APEE yesterday. Was about 30th in line for RSR. Ride was down but the cars were running around the track so we were hoping it would get going soon. No such luck. Around 7:45 we made the decision to wait it out rather than leave line and go get in FP line. Unfortunately for us RSR did not start running until about 8:30. After riding RSR we Decided to look at FP line. When we walked past the FP distribution line, the return time was 4:40. End of line was wrapped around Carthay Circle still. Got into line around 8:45 or so but had a feeling FP would run out before we got ours. FP line moves very fast. Got FP for 7:40 so we were happy.

It's the same FP line. If you are there for EMH, you will be able to begin standing in line before the other guests enter the park and head to the FP line.

Good luck!

Tell me if this sounds silly...
We will be there at the end of July-early August. My thought was to get in the regular park entry line early that way we are towards the front. My plan is to go straight to the RSR line first. My reasoning (tell me if I'm wrong) is if I have to stand in line already to get a fastpass why not just go stand in the normal ride line? If I were to get a fast pass I would be standing in line later in the day with my fast pass anyways. We have multiple days there so I am not worried just wanting to know if this is the best way to go.

We attended AP Early Entry on Saturday. RSR was not operational, so we did Luigi's and Mater's before joining the FP line at around 7:50. Distribution started at 8, and cast members were stationed at each machine, getting them for you, to help 'speed up the process'. (fail, by the way). We had a fast pass by 8:13 with a return time of 10:45am.

What time were you in line for your AP wristband...? I am going to be heading in ahead of my husband but don't want to wait TOO long for opening if I don't have to by myself. :)

We walked through security about 6:35. Lined up at the gates around 6:40 and mulled around until the started letting us in at 7. We were the 17th & 18th people in our turn style line.

That's easy - I was having visions of getting there at 6 and being the only fool there... thanks! :D

On Sat. June 30th, we did Magic Morning at Disneyland until about 7:40am, then got in the RSR FP line at 7:50am. The line started moving right at 8am. We had fastpasses by 8:25am with a 1:35pm return time. For us, this worked out way better than waiting in line at DCA from 6:45am on! We only spent 35 minutes waiting for FPs AND we got to ride Dumbo. A win-win. :goodvibes

We got in line for RSR around 2:05pm and waited about 6 or 7 minutes before we were in our car.

Okay, so you were a regular guest when you entered CA and lined up in the FP line that was forming behind rope drop?

I'm glad to hear that FP's line when you ride have gone down. I wonder if that's still true later in the day? Are people saving their FP to come back and ride in the dark I wonder, or are they mostly using them when the window says? I'd probably blow a gasket if I waited in line an hour to get my FP and then was turned away because I "missed" the window and tried to use it much later in the day. :cool2:

Yes, we were "regular guests" when we entered DCA to line up for FP. Since we were leaving DLR around 6pm to catch an evening flight, we didn't wait around to ride in the dark, just used our FP during the window. I would also have been very upset if we missed our window and were not allowed to ride!

Our experience with RSR FPs from last week (both were regular admissions).

Weds 6/27, through gate at 8:05, joined line about 5 minutes later (line at that point was around the animation building, about halfway down the block). 7:10 PM return time.

Fri 6/29, through gate at 7:50, joined line about 5 minutes later (line at that point was in front of entrance to animation building). 2:20 PM return.

If memory is correct, both of those were MM so it is possible to show up at normal rope drop and get FPs.

6/27 return, we waited about 30 minutes in the FP line (don't know whether the attraction was down earlier or just that people waited until dark...after having ridden once during the day and once at night, I prefer night). 6/29 return was only about a 10 minute wait.

PS. It was amusing to stand in front of the FP return clock and see it click over every couple minutes. Nutty!!!

I've been wondering whether it's worth getting a fastpass, or if I should just use the single rider line (I'm going on my own later this month) - I'm figuring by the time I've lined up for a fastpass and then lined up to ride, I might as well just stand in the single rider line, it will be faster?

Yesterday around 2:30 the FastPass line was only 15 minutes and at 10:30pm we waiting about 30 minutes in the FastPass return line. So it does look like people save them until after their time.

This is my thinking exactly abbie13_15. Why wait in the ridiculously long line twice (once to get fastpasses, then later, in the fastpass line itself to ride). If you can't do the SR line, it seems to me the regular line - first thing in the morning, is the way to go.

One big difference for some is that you can have a single person wait in the FP line (while other in the group do something else) but the regular line requires everyone in your group to wait.

That would work if you were there for early entry, but it does not when you are there at regular time. Last Saturday, we were let in for rope drop at 7:30, got in the FP line and has FPs by 8:15. At 8:20, the line for RSR was 210 minutes. Yes, we waited in line for 45 minutes for FP, but 30 minutes of that time was pre-opening.

The one recommendation I would make is to use your FPs as soon as your time comes up, which we normally never do. We went at 12:30, waited less than 5 minutes before we were on the ride. Later that night, though, people were waiting much longer in the FP line.
