Update on planning

I still think I've got lots to do!!!

Flights and accomodation at Pop Century all booked - managed to get 20% off through public code and phoning Disney in the US. I think they are still doing the discount but it is down to 15%....

Have managed to book Disney tickets but nothing else yet so what I have to do still as far as I can remember is as follows:

1. Book tickets for Seaworld/Busch and Universal
2. Book car hire
3. Arrange some kind of sat nav as I am useless on the roads over there (yes I got lost the minute I came out of MCO!!)
4. Get some more dollars

I think that is the main things so if anyone has any recommendations on the above please let me know. Does anyone else think organising a trip over to Orlando is like a miltary operation Is there anything blatant I have forgotten?

Less than 10 weeks to go now.....so excited!!

Sorry cretin time.....API? I have the ESTAs all sorted though - that was the first thing I did before they started charging for them. At least one thing I did right!!

Ah thanks for that - just checked online and it seems I cannot enter this info until 28 days before departure. I'm flying with Thomas Cook.

Not sure about ADRs to be honest - its something we have never done in the past but I always quite fancied it. As for insurance we have one of those Direct Line plus policies so covered under that

Just booked tickets to see Cirque du Soleil during our visit - its something I have always wanted to see!

Not sure if this is any use or not but I have been doing my sums and have found SW/B/Sq for £70, valid 14 days consequtive with onlineflorida.co.uk and then US/IOA for £83, again 14 day, with floridatix.xo.uk. Obviously depends on how long you are going etc. If anyone knows better deals I would be grateful to hear them too

With regards to the sat nav; rental companies charge a bomb and if you have a sat nav already just purchase the USA maps (obviously check it covers Florida) and it works out as a good saving. I think we paid £40 for the maps and they wanted well over £100 to rent @ Alamo last time. Plus you always have it for future visits

Hi Lou, I have had a good look and they are the best prices, I have booked 3 x adult tix for me, DH & DD for (Seaworld/Bush & Aquatica / Universal & IOA) and saved almost £100 by not buying the flex ticket plus which I would normally get, all the same parks so well worth it!

I managed to buy the Seaworld/Busch tickets for £70 so that's another thing out of the way. Next on my list is to arrange car hire - I'm thinking of just arranging through Expedia unless anyone says NOOOOOOO!!! and has some great deals?

We especially like Usrentacar, we have used them at various places throughout USA and found they were quite competitive.

We also liked the fact that I know up front they include every insurance we require and when I arrive there is NOTHING extra I have to pay out for.
