Update on our BLT contract & closing

Well, I should have known better, but I called DVC Admin today to check to see if my information had been put in the system and guess who I got....Tammy. Wow, even after reading this entire thread I'm astounded at how rude she was. It's almost as if she thinks she's getting paid to upset those who have purchased DVC via resale. The good news is she never took my name or any other relevant information, so she won't know who I am if I call back again tomorrow.
Frankly, I didn't spend this amount of money to be treated this way. I wish I had researched more before I purchased resale this time. I purchased a resale contract about 7 years ago and sold it about 3 years ago and I don't feel like I was treated differently from those who purchased direct at that time. Is this really the norm now? How disappointing and unlike Disney. :sad1:

Don't feel badly, there are plenty of very friendly reps at MA that treat you like a real human being. Tammy is just so, err, efficient at getting people off of the phone that she fields more calls than the nicer reps. Don't feel badly. I recently stayed at BWV on my "resale" points and everybody treated me perfectly nice. :)

Thanks ELMC. That's very good to hear and definitely eases my mind. We stayed at BWV once and loved it! I'm hoping to book a 1BR anywhere for late Sept/early Oct, so I'm very anxious to be a real DVC member again. If nothing else, I'll just use our military discount at a value or moderate resort, but a 1BR sure sounds nice. Thanks again for the encouragement. :)

disjest8, I spoke w/ several at MA & Tammy was the only one with whom I had a problem. And, as I expressed to DVC guest relations (whatever you call them) when they called me about the email I'd sent, it's not necessarily what she says, but how she says it. Her attitude is the issue, IMO. And, I'm sorry, but in a former lifetime, I was a Disney cast member & that kind of attitude wouldn't have been tolerated. (But then again, the monorail crash wouldn't have happened then either. Apparently lots has changed in 20 years.)

Quick update...still not in the system, but got a nicer than usual Tammy yesterday and a super helpful Kevin this morning. Kevin said the lady who is dedicated to entering resale contracts will be in the office on Friday and I should call back Friday afternoon. I wonder if that person only comes in once a week. That would certainly explain why it can take a while for our resale information to be put in the system. If that's the case, I can sort of understand why Tammy would be a bit frustrated on days other than Friday. ;)

Hmmm. Maybe my email was helpful, then. I'm glad she was nicer than usual, but sorry that it's taking so darned long.

You figure the Disney employees would be happy to have new blood when people buy a resale for the first time or people are buying extra points to go more often. From what I can see the resales are sellers who do not go anymore or can not afford it so therefor they should be happy with the new buyers. The

You would think. :confused3

My first purchase was resale. I called MS to see if I was in the system and a person very POLITELY explained that there was one person who entered the contracts and another one that entered the points and what I might expect. Actually my contract was entered by the time I called but not the points. I would expect that any CM could do the same - politely. It's not like this is the only repetitive question they get.
