I just wanted to pop on & tell y'all just how responsive both Leilani & Cammy from First American have been. We Fed-Exed our contract back a week ago tomorrow. I emailed Leilani when I got notification from FedEx that our package had been delivered - just wanted to make sure it got to the right person, as a $14k check was no small thing to have 'misplaced'. She got right back to me & told me it had indeed been received & registered.
Fast forward to today, when my impatience got the better of me. I emailed Leilani to ask if she could give me just a basic timeline for the anticipated closing (apologizing for being a PITA!), in the hopes that it'll keep me quiet as long as possible, lol. She forwarded my email to Cammy, who's actually handling the closing, & Cammy responded w/in 5 min. Our closing should be happening in the next couple of days (seller said she's sending her stuff today for a tomorrow arrival) & Cammy said she'd ask Disney to please expedite the transfer so we can get things rolling to make our Oct. reservations.
I can honestly say that in spite of the seemingly-lack of communication initially, they've been great since then & I'm generally very happy w/ the service they've provided.
For all the whining I've done, I wanted to sing some praises for a change.

I understand that. I didn't realize that the sellers had to get their paperwork notarized. Bummer for me since the sellers I am dealing with were slow to get the initial contracts back. I don't have much faith that they've done anything at all yet but my check and docs are already there. Guess I will call my title company next week to see if they can give them a poke

In addition, we'll head to the Tiffany museum in Winter Park & maybe the Dali museum in St. Pete (or somewhere near there! not remembering exactly).
