Update on my mother. UPDATE 2/6/03

It has taken all this time to find out what was the problem. As you know, I had to cancel my Dis Con trip because my mother was sick. She has been in the hospital twice and they finally found out what was wrong and she is now FINALLY back on the mend. She had something called Temporal Arteritous. This is an inflammation of the arteries in the temples.
Now, I've been sick for the last few weeks. I think that I am now about cured. I had a sinus infection.

On Tuesday my mother had a heart attack. Her heart stopped in the ambulance but was started again. Tuesday night they did an angeoplasty and installed one stint. She is recovering well and expected to come home from the hospital tomorrow. We've really had a rough time during the past few months. Let's pray the rest of 2003 goes better.

Thanks for the update and good news Carl. I am glad that your mom is on the mend. So sorry that we didn't get a chance to meet at DIScon, but I fully understand how family comes first. Prayers for continued healing for your mom and that you feel better soon.

I'm glad they were able to pinpoint the problem and get her on the road to recovery. I hope she is feeling completely well very soon.

Sinus infections can get nasty, I'm glad you are doing better too.

Oh Carl I am so sorry to hear about your mom's heart attack So glad that she survived though. I hope that her recovery continues to go well and that she will be home soon. I do pray that 2003 is better for you both!
