I have watched you tube videos and read through various threads here but this is my 1st time and I wanted to see if Im thinking of this correctly and get some clarification.

I bought an AP that has not been activated yet. I am staying DVC. 1st night Animal Kingdom check in 04/16 but don't plan to visit the parks that day, my 1st park reservation is on 04/17. Then the rest of my stay is at Boardwalk 4 nights.

In the app it says I can start booking LLMP tomorrow morning April 9. Can I book all of my park days tomorrow if it's a split stay or just my 1st park day?

My park visits we will not be hopping because I think it will waste time as we aren't familiar with WDW. If I can book all my days starting tomorrow is the following a good idea? Booking my HS day first even though it's not my 1st park, then booking MK, then Epcot, then AK? I was thinking that is the best strategy because of popular attractions like Slinky. But again I have no clue what I am doing.

Day 1 AK
Day 2 MK
Day 3 Epcot
Day 4 HS
Day 5 only 1/2 day - unsure

You can book LLMP for your entire trip 7 days before your first check in day. I did the same a couple of weeks ago.

I agree with your strategy for booking the LLs. I book HS, MK, EP, AK because LL times are the least important to me at AK.

Yes tomorrow at 7 AM ET you can book for all your park days. The split stay is not an issue since you will not have a gap in days. You do need to make park reservations since you have an AP.

Yes HS and MK are the busiest parks with the hard to get LLMP selections.

Awesome, Im glad I was thinking of things properly, I feel more prepared for trying to this while half asleep at 5am

I was able to get everything we wanted both LLMP/LLSP. All the high ticket rides. The return times are pretty early. With the exception of Slinky it is 5:25. I went in this order HS, EP, MK then AK.

I only had one mess up from being tired. I wanted to pay with a GC on all orders, one order I accidentally used my credit card. Also not removing my credit card from the app slowed me down as it then requires 2-3 extra clicks that are needed.

Another update. I called to see if I could just switch payment methods. They cannot. They did offer to cancel/refund/rebook, which will lose all selected LL. I decided to roll the dice and only cancel my Tron and Mine Train LLSP and leave my LLMP as is. Upon rebooking both had available times, but stress hit when it said Mine Train selection time was gone and there was no other available. So I booked Tron, went back in and was able to get Mine Train. Whew! Was it worth the $16 savings..? Yes, probably would say no if I had lost Mine Train.

Another DP: if you try to book and you get an error like booking times are gone I believe it holds funds on your GC because then my GC started declining and I had to use a different one. I am now off to check my GC on the site to see if that is actually the case.

Edit: checked my GC balances and it doesn't seem that any funds are being held, so I am unsure why it started declining.

While you feel that it slowed you down it is often a lifesaver to have at least 1 payment method loaded in MDE.

This is a primary example of having a payment method loaded in MDE is a good idea. If you have an issue with your GC Number you can just complete your LL purchase with your default payment method.

Yeah this makes sense, better to not utilize a GC than lose your selections. I will say when I went to rebook I wasn't tired and since I had done to before it was easier to navigate quickly

My card started declining because the multiple purchases triggered a fraud alert. I had two CCs saved thankfully. I had multiple texts and emails after I was done from the CC asking to confirm the activity.

It would be nice if Disney could do it all in one purchase.

I was paying with a GC, and there was just a post about Disney reversing a charge thinking it was fraud and canceling all their lightning lanes. oof Im bit scared now.
