I posted this last night on the community board. As Lisa was an avid scrapbook person, thought I would here also............
I had called Lisa's mom, Wanda, about a week ago, between Christmas and New Years. No answer, I left message on their answering machine. I had not heard back.
Today I called Lisa's cell phone. Her dad, Dale, answered, at the hospital. I told him who I was, he knew me. He thanked for our prayers and good wishes over the years. I talked to him briefly, he was massaging Lisa arm and hand. He joked and said, 'You are one of those Disney nuts, like Lisa', LOL.
I said, 'Yes, we sure are'.
Lisa's partner, Lynn, was there, and Dale asked Lynn to talk to me. I think Lynn stepped out of the room for a bit with the phone. She said Lisa is failing, not really too lucid, drifts in and out. She said the doctors said it is a combination of the cancer and the medicines given to keep her comfortable as can be.
Lynn is on a FMLA for a month or so, Emily is back in school after the Christmas break. Lynn also thanked all those here for years of prayers, good wishes and friendship.
We both agreed miracles do happen, and Lynn asked that we please continue to keep our friend Lisa in our prayers, good wishes.
