Update on Earl of Sandwich

We could see into the walls from our room at DLH last week. The outside was nowhere near complete. They appeared to be excavating and pouring the patio levels still. Now that could finish in a couple weeks, but it didnt look close. Not sure what was going on inside.

We just got back yesterday. There was absolutely no activity there while we were there last Wed-Sun. The constuction walls were up, and that was it.

I had been hoping it would be open for our July tirp but it wasn't. Now I'm just hoping it is open by our November trip! Maybe it needs a little magic to help it along. :wizard:

I am hoping it is open by October 6...I would love to try it for lunch one day during our trip down there. Seems like a great lunch for a reasonable price, plus I love new places to try :-). Plus it will be nice and close to the DLH for our stay...:cool1: Hoping some pixie dust will be spread.

I have apparently been quite remiss in my DisBoards reading because I totally missed this! I am a local and have an AP but apparently never go to that part of DTD! I just found out about it about 2 weeks ago when I was there and was completely thrilled!!!! We've been to the one in WDW and love it! I am almost glad I didn't know about it months ago because I didn't know what I was missing!! Now I can't wait for it to open!! LOL!

Since we can't feast our bellies just yet, we'll have to feast our eyes....

I give you the Earl Holiday Sandwich....yummmmmmm......:hyper:

can i just tell you i have been making that sandwich for YEARS day after thanksgiving/christmas....when i first started it, I would put mashed potatoes in it but later I changed it to just mayo, turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce...then a few years ago I was talking to my friend about that and she said there was a place in vegas that had the sandwich and called it a "Bobbie"...in the last couple of years I have been seeing tv shows where supposedly "THEY" are the creators of this sandwich...um no..I created it ..just should have thought to patent it:headache::rolleyes1
