I'm writing this quickly from Children's Hospital in Seattle. Ellie was admitted last night after having apnea spells at the mall and turning blue on us.
We're here until tomorrow at the earliest, Tuesday at the latest. They're running a lot of tests on her and have her on monitors to see what's going on. We don't know much yet, hopefully tonights sleep study will shed more light on the situation.
Any prayers and pixie dust you could send her way would be wonderful.
I'm one stressed out mommy at this point.
Lou and Belle are staying with my mom and step-dad, poor kids don't know what to think right now.
I'll update as soon as I can.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ update ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
We're still here, she's had two more apnea spells and they weren't able to get enough info on the machine during the sleep study to figure anything out. She's also lost a tiny bit of weight since being here.
They're going to be running more tests on her.
And it gets worse. DH was taken via ambulance to the University of Washington medical center this afternoon because he was hit hard and fast with abdominal pain and vomiting. It's his appendix, as he put it, "they found it and it's big". The pain meds aren't working but he's not the type to speak up and ask for something different and that worries me. He's there alone, I'm here with Ellie. He'll be going into surgery either tonight or tomorrow morning, I'm hoping it's tonight or I'm not going to sleep.
I'm feeling horribly overwhelmed at this point, I'd cry if I had the energy. I'll update again as soon as I can.
