To all who have followed the trashcan problem at my daughter's school. My daughter's school had no trashcans in the bathrooms which made it impossible for anyone of the students to dispose of feminine products. I sent an e-mail off to the principal asking her again to get some trashcans or I was going to go to the local health department to see if they could help me. Guess what appeared in the girl's bathroom yesterday...a trashcan. Now the Principal is giving me the cold shoulder. Hopefully she will get over it.

Good work on your part. You did what had to be done for all the girls in school and female visitors. You are right, she will get over it. I think you handled it well. You could have gotten a lot nastier.

It could be worse - I teach at a middle school, and the girls there just throw their feminine products onto the walls. Yes, the walls. They stick there, until the poor custodian comes to remove them. Want any of our unused trashcans?
There was also a school wide warning of the spread of some stomach virus. To prevent the spread, we now HAVE to take our students to wash their hands before they go to lunch. However, there's no soap in the student bathrooms. Hmmmmm.....
Cheers!

GOOD FOR YOU! I work in an elementry school and we have trashcans in the children's washroom. Where would all that paper towels go (or do they use hand dryers?) It's more then likely that someone was just to lazy to have to empty them!

Well, if she had getten them in the first time you spoke with her, you would not have mentioned it again.

She has the same britches to get happy in....that's what my Mama used to say!

I'm glad she finally put a trashcan in the bathroom! :)

LOL, you put a fire under her behind. :) I'm sorry it took that to get something so simple taken care of. I'm glad it's done though. :)

Snowball that is so nasty!! How mortifying for the girls! Kudo's to you for speaking up (loudly!)
:teeth:

Glad to hear it!

Stick them to the walls?!?!? EEEEEEEWWWWWWWW!

That's good to hear!

I still think that dropping them off in the principal's trashcan as someone mentioned in the first thread was a great idea ;)

I'm sure your daughter is very proud of you! Atta girl!!!

Too bad about the cold shoulder problem....I guess the principal will have to grow up & get over her problem! She caused her own problems.

I missed your first post about this problem but I am still glad you were able to resolve it for your daughter. I am sure her and her classmates are very appreciative. What is that principal's problem  ?

You mean they didn't have those little metal containers in each stall attached to the wall? Would she prefer they flush them and ruin the pipes or flood the bathrooms. She sounds like a moron. I swear some Principals are on such a power trip.
