I wonder how the VISA Meet and Greet will work once Kylo Ren starts appearing.
The backdrops remain the same. Kylo replaces Vader for the regular meet and the Visa meet.I wonder how the VISA Meet and Greet will work once Kylo Ren starts appearing.

Anakin/Darth Vader wiped out all of the Younglings yet parents and kids line up well before rope drop to be onstage with Vader in Jedi Training.Looking at the big picture, I've never understood the facination with villains. And looking at the more narrow picture, I am absolutely mystified over the "love" for the guy who killed Han Solo. They intentionally made him a simpering, cowardly piece of you-know-what who is impossible to like. For the life of me I cannot imagine a child wanting to meet a mass-murderer who wipes out entire villages without an ounce of remorse nor can I comprehend the reasoning behind "family entertainment" leader Disney pushing a meet and greet of such an evil character. I mean, a little bit of comedic evil can be amusing (see Cruella d'Ville), especially when their master plan gets foiled before they do any real harm. But Kylo Ren is an over-the-top murderer who killed one of cinema's most beloved heros. I just have to scratch my head on this one. A glass of wine with dinner brings out all the outrage of people who want to keep the parks good and pure. But a meet and greet with a murderous scoundrel with a black heart is something that people want their kids to line up for. I really don't get the attraction.
That falls under the "bigger picture" that I was referring to, which is to say that I've never understood the facination with villains generally. I guess one difference that I see, (small as it may be), is that by the time Disney introduced Darth Vader into the parks, he was already dead and roasted whereas Kylo Ren is still an "active" murderer. I suppose it not his mere presence that gnaws at me as much as it is comments like the ones in this thread saying that "I love Kylo Ren." What's to love? Moreover, he's not supposed to be loved or loveable.Anakin/Darth Vader wiped out all of the Younglings yet parents and kids line up well before rope drop to be onstage with Vader in Jedi Training.
No, you're definitely not the only one. My family is disappointed and DS8 is devastated. I wish I had never told him he would get to meet Vader. I thought it was safe to tell him since the launch bay was new. My family is huge into meet and greets so it has been a depressing few weeks with all the announcements of characters that are leaving. Other than a one day MK visit last summer this is our first trip to the other parks so we have never met any of the characters that they are taking away. But the news about Darth Vader has been the biggest blow yet.![]()
OH NO, I am SO disappointed that Vader won't be there, when we go!!! I could cry. My kid is gonna cry. This stinks!!!!
This swapping out Darth Vader for Kylo Ren infuriates me. Darth Vader is the icon of Star Wars. It's like taking Mickey away from the Magic Kingdom. So damn stupid. PLEASE bring him back. Praying when we're there in August there will be more Star Wars meet & greets. It drives me nuts there's no R2D2, C3PO or any of the other classic characters. They had Luke, Leia etc during SW Weekends...so why not have them here while we are all waiting on the new land??
Maybe they'll see how much abuse Kylo Ren will be facing and they'll take him out ha ha. I'm going to have a few choice words for that guy. heehee.
I think you are really overthinking this and putting a lot more impact on these characters than they should have.
