Update from a 4 day pass to a 5 day pass

Has anyone every bought a 4 day pass from the Disney store then decide they want to increase it to a 5 day pass. I called WDW they told me to trade it in at the gate? Thanks for any help. I am leaving for a week at the WL can't wait 2 trips in one month I love it

I have never done it, but, it can be done. They will credit you the amount of the unused pass towards a new longer one. It only takes a few minutes and can be done at any guest services window at the park or DD.

Thanks for the advice . The 4 day pass we have still have all 4 days on them so it should be easy to do.

I know you can add days to your park hoppers, but my question is what price will they use, the gate price or the advanced purchase price?

It is not adding days it is actually an upgrade, a separate transaction, a new purchase.
They will use the gate price.
