Update 9-11 MCS!...Can we keep it a surprise???? Our June trip to WDW w/ pics

We did a pirate party for my ds last year. IT WAS A BLAST! You have a lot going on right now. I am sure your life it not boring. :) Hang in there!

I did simple invitations on the computer to get out tomorrow... and then I need to get a list of what exactly they are going to do during their time here. Eat dinner, cake, treasure hunt, a craft and a game or two... I hope that is enough. 2.5 hours is not that long.

Thursday June 12... a dreaded day. Our last day at WDW. I was somewhat excited because our Magical Express bus was not picking us up until 3:10 for our 5:55 Departure. We had some time.. to soak in more magic!

We all were up by 8:30ish finished our cereal and food in the room and the girls and I headed down to the pool. DH is our packer... and he was happy to get a bunch of that done. So I took the girls to the pool... we were there even before the lifeguards opened the slide. DH came down, he had went to pick up the Castle we had bought Hannah for her birthday that had been shipped back to the resort. (We wanted to keep it a surprise... for her birthday). He thought there was no way we could handle it with our luggage... so we decided to take it back in the shop and ship it home. Surprisingly to all... we had extra $$$ left on our Disney Visa Card and the gift cards we had bought through church. In fact, we still have $$$$$ to spend at WDW or online!

So I took care of that... and we enjoyed the pool. DH had called and gotten us a late checkout- 1:00. So we figured we would swim until noonish and then take our luggage over to check in and then have lunch. After lunch grab the rest of the stuff from the room... and then change in the changing rooms down by the pool. And that is what we did!

The line for luggage check was not bad at all... we were the only ones there- yeah!

We also finally spent a few minutes at the playground. That is pretty sad that for a 7 day trip we hit the playground in the last hours.. when you had 4 no park days!

Here are the swimmers again!

Finally about 2:30 ish we started getting dressed. First me, I took a quick shower... and then I grabbed each girl and dressed them before sending out to dad. I knew after the airport and stuff we would need baths later anyway

Around 2:50 we headed in... DH got a "treat" for the plane-- some suckers while we waited... and started to eat our last mickey sprinkle cookies!
Hannah had already started crying... not as horribly as last year when she wailed on the bus, but she was teary eyed. I was too, I hate to see them so sad to go. However... I was ready to have summer break begin and rest. Within a week of arriving home I could tell I hit a brick wall.. I was much more tired!
Our last pics...

Now last year... we left before lunch... and I swore I wanted a longer last day... but know I know it is not much better... it is still the last day, no matter when you leave, and I had the last day blues... so I will keep that in mind!

Our magical express ride was uneventful... we headed to Key West... I thought of Jen and Megan and there vacation still continuing!

And onto Sartoga Springs.... what a pretty place.... and onto the airport. Totally uneventful, and we made it easily through security and onto our plane and home, even a few minutes early. The girls were good, tired and a bit sad, but we had lots of fun planned for the summer- so that made it easier to handle!

Next up:

Closing thoughts... and when will we go to WDW again- yes this is asked on a daily basis!

The last day is always the worst -- just the absolute worst because everyone feels so sad.

That picture of Hannah's sad face about sums it up, doesn't it?

I am so glad that we could all "share" your trip with you! Looking forward to your final thoughts!

I've lurked on both of your trip reports and they were both great!:rolleyes1

Coming out of lurkdom to ask a question. Do you own the life jacket Em is wearing or did you use ones provided by the resort. If you bought it where did you get it? Thanks :goodvibes

Ohhhh.......such sadness--the last day!!! The picture of Hannah's precious sad face is just about heartbreaking! I have SO enjoyed sharing your trip with you!!! It would only have been better if we had had the opportunity to run into each other!!! How sweet of you to think of us as you were driving through OKW!!! How often during the week my thoughts turned to all of you who were sharing the trip with us and hoping for magical moments for all of you!!! Can't wait to hear more!!! Jen

Hannah's sad face made my heart ache! I know exactly how she feels!!!

I'm so sad that your trip report is over. I've really enjoyed it!

oh, i'm so sad it's over! and i want to cry along with hannah, too. you have such a beautiful family and i know you will be back one day with the new addition! looking forward to your final thoughts.......

Poor little, sweet Hannah! That face says it all!

That was great that you were able to get a late check out. I am sure it helped the rush of getting everything put back together better for you all!

I can't wait to hear your final thoughts and what you thought of POFQ. We have stayed at both and I have a strong opinion of which one I prefer. ;)

How have you been feeling? You have been super woman pumping out this report, but haven't said much about you and LUKE?

UGH! The DREADED last day!:sad2: It never matters what time you leave, that last day is HORRIBLE! Poor Hannah and her tears! I hope you are feeling good:thumbsup2

glad you all got some more pool time, but you are right it is still so sad on your last day whether it is first thing, or later in the day..
And I know that feeling all to well of not knowing when you'll get back! Just think though of all the new things you'll get to try out when Luke is older..
Thanks for sharing your family too :) enjoyed your TR and your girls are just the cutest thing ever! looking forward to your final thoughts also.

That picture of Hannah is horrid... but it so sums up how sad she was. God love that little girl who loves WDW... I hope she always thinks it is the best place!

I am so sad your TR is ending :sad1: I really enjoyed it :goodvibes

Thank you! I feel so lucky we got this trip in with the girls... I cannot be sad since it was an extra treat!

Thank you for commenting! I appreciate it!
The blue three block belt is ours... the yellow jacket Hannah has on was one from the resort... the belt we ordered through Amazon.com... great great investment... she is able to swim with it on and is safe too!

Running into you all would have been fun... I guess it was not meant to be. You need to get Kings Island passes and come up here.... we can pretend it is WDW-

I'm so sad that your trip report is over. I've really enjoyed it!

Thanks!...it really is over now. Hannah had her autograph book out tonight with our friends who are in for a wedding.... not a day goes by when I don't smile and think of our trip!

I never doubt we will be back... it is just bittersweet since we went twice in twelve months and had two awesome trips, very different though. When will we return... I have a plan of course!
;)

The late checkout was a total blessing... we had a spot to keep our mounting carryon and then did not have to risk waiting for airport checkin... we figured it would be less crowded later, and we were right!

You have me totaly wondering which one you like better? I too prefer one over the other.... next!

I am worn out... but not miserable. I still have ankles and a wedding ring on... so that I am proud of. I did tell my dad no trips to the zoo... (the zoo is hilly and huge) as he mentioned wanting to get there in the next few weeks. He can take the girls with my mom.. but I am not coming!

I find myself sitting a lot... outside with neighbors, in the house... I am walking more at Em's speed, which is not the speed walker that I typically am... and even was at WDW!

UGH! The DREADED last day!:sad2: It never matters what time you leave, that last day is HORRIBLE! Poor Hannah and her tears! I hope you are feeling good:thumbsup2

Hannah crying like that gets me... she is what I would consider a cryer... but those tears are more heartbreaking because she is truly sad. I wonder if Em will be like that... she is not as emotional as Hannah.

We did enjoy the pool... I think they hit the slide another 20 times or so. It is sad that your report, Jen's and Jackie's are all done.... and summer is over:confused: where did it go?

A bit off topic.... but oh well.

Today we had a bit of excitement. We were headed to my parent's house to swim and run to Kohls (another big markdown so we were baby Luke shopping)

They literally live five miles away.... and as we were headed there a big dump truck was in the other lane headed south while I was headed north.... and the truck started spewing glass out the top.... all over the road and my van! I had never seen so much stuff flying out.... it might have got a pickup truck in front of me... but I took the brunt of it.

Immediately I had scratches and glass on windshield... and I tried to turn aroudn and follow the darn truck, but traffic and construction prevented me from catching up....

Luckily my car's body was good, just one shred of glass, but low I could find. There was also glass in my tire treads...

I was okay, and the girls were so I did not let it upset me... I knew I could get the windshield fixed.

So after stopping at my parents and picking up my mom to go to Kohls.... we realized my air was not working!

It had been... so I realized it probably was connected, called the dealer and explained what happened.... could the glass have damaged something, which the dealer said could be. Meanwhile the van was leaking something on my parents driveway... not the typical condensation!

Called my insurance... pleaded the 37 week pregnant lady needs it fixed... please no waiting, which they said no problem to, and took the van in... 800 dollars later it was indeed connnected. The glass shards were evident in the leaking part!

As we drove down the rode to the dealer my mom could not believe all the glass still in the road, especially when I called immediately to report it in hopes that they would get it cleaned up!
So it was a crazy crazy day.... but I am so lucky we were all okay! That was a close call.... so glad that my windows were up or else I bet I would have been visiting a hospital and stuff now!

so glad you guys are okay!!!!!! how scary! i wish you could've at least gotten the tag off that truck.

Now that is super scary. I hope somehow they find the truck that did that! Are your tires okay? Just think how many people could have driven through that today and got damage.:headache:

I am glad to hear that you are hanging in. Have you begun to move any?

When is you scheduled section? Make SURE to get those support hose before the surgery! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

Glad you are Ok!

Your last day was so sad! Even though my kids are teens, the last day is so tough. No crying or wailing (except me), but it always gets very quiet.....

OMGosh! That is crazy! I'm glad that you and the girls and okay and the van is fixed. Too bad you couldn't get the info. on the truck.

Did you at least get to stop at Kohls? :)

How frightening!!! I am glad you all are okay, but I SO wish you could have gotten any info from the truck that spewed the glass everywhere!!! It isn't fair when you have to be inconvenienced like that! I bet that REALLY scared the girls!!!

OT--my girlfriend just had her 3rd baby (3rd boy actually) and it was her 3rd c-section--she has HUGE kiddies (10 lbs. 3 ozs.). I went over to see her last night, and it reminded me so much of what it is like recuperating from a c-section. So many little strange aches and pains you never think of!!! I started thinking about you--I know you are getting so close!!! Good luck again with everything--I know it must be old hat to you now, but I will definitely be thinking of you!!!! So wonderful, but having to go through that recuperation again, UGH!!!

What a pain! I'm glad you guys are okay.

Thanks for answering me about the belt. I searched on Amazon but I am not sure what to search for to find it. I know you are busy right now but when you get the chance can you tell me how you found it?
